Welcome back once again to the weekly Rumor Look Back.  Like always, we're going to take a look back (hence the name) at the rumors from six months ago to see how they played out.  Let's get to it.

December 15, 2014

WWE is hoping to have Daniel Bryan back with in two months.

He was actually back within two weeks. And unfortunately gone again in four months. (1/1)

According to the Observer, even Vince may think Monday Night Raw is too long at three hours.

It is. It really is. They could make SmackDown more relevant by taking an hour of story and moving it there. Plus it must be a real pain to manage that show live for 3 hours.

A new European title may be making its way to WWE soon, maybe as early as tonight’s Raw.

There is still no European title in WWE and with a bunch of Americans holding all the titles (not including Owen’s and his NXT title); I don’t see it happening any time soon. (0/1)

The Playstation Vue, Sony’s new cable alternative, could enable people to watch SmackDown, Raw, and Impact without a cable subscription.

Looking into this, this is true. SyFy, USA, and Destination America are available. As if now, this appears to be offered in only select cities. Most recently, Sony unveiled that they are unbundling as well so you could just purchase the channels you want a la carte. And I looked, but it does not appear that El Rey is one of those stations. (1/1)

Anybody live in an area that this is available and use it? If so, what do you think? It sounds like a good deal; however, I am still weary of a cable product that depends so highly on the internet.

Word has it there will be many more program additions for TNA after their recent announcement of a Saturday morning show.

Yeah they had a couple shows with a bunch of time slot changes that were eventually canceled. (1/1)

December 16, 2014

Famous rumormonger MetsFan4Ever posted on Reddit said that some wrestlers are staging a silent protest to get Triple H to take over the main show and run it like he runs NXT. John Cena was a voice to try to dissuade the wrestlers.

Cannot grade this one. We haven’t heard much else after this so I am skeptical.

Undertaker vs Bray Wyatt is currently the WrestleMania plan.

And it happened, Wyatt likely with a severely twisted ankle. (1/1)

Adrian Neville has been the latest name discussed as a main roster call up.

I don’t know an Adrian Neville. I know a Neville. Therefore this rumor is false. (I kid. I kid. Since he debuted right after Mania, I’ll give it a yes.) (1/1)

Matt Striker has apparently been tapped to call Wrestle Kingdom with Jim Ross.

He did. It was officially announced a couple days later. (1/1)

December 17, 2014

WWE will promote Cena vs Lesnar at the Royal Rumble as their finale encounter, which isn’t surprising since Lesnar is likely leaving after WrestleMania.

With the addition of Rollins, it was never really billed as a "Final Encounter." Also, Lesnar did not leave after WrestleMania; thank the wrestling gods. (0/2)

Randy Orton is expected to return next Monday. On his return, he is expected to work with Kane, at least on house shows.

Rumors really thought Randy was going to be back soon, but he wasn’t until February. He did work those house shows with Kane though. (1/2)

Roman Reigns will be put in a feud with Big Show heading into the Rumble, a feud which he will win. This is to make him look stronger going into the Royal Rumble match.

He did have a feud with Show before the Rumble… and again after WrestleMania. The question is, did he win it? Because after the Rumble, when they were kind of still feuding, Big Show got the pin on Roman which ended their feud, at least on TV until after WrestleMania. (1/2)

WWE ran an angle with Ryback that he was being evaluated for a concussion but word is it is all a work.

Ryback missed no time. (1/1)

December 18, 2014

Rumor has it that TNA made a huge play at Alberto del Rio offering up to 400,000 dollars for one year.

Cannot confirm this. Funny that 6 months later we have the same word on TNA and Mysterio though.

Word is that WWE will announce the locale of WrestleMania 32 on Monday, January 15 during Raw.

There was no Raw announcement. They did a press conference the next day instead. (0/1)

December 19, 2014

Although there is reports that Brock will miss the Royal Rumble go home Raw, he will be there.

He was there. So was Sting. It was actually a hot ending. (1/1)

Although he does not have Fozzy tour dates near WrestleMania, it is not expected Jericho will work the show.

He did not. (1/1)

December 20, 2014

The word going around is that Sting will make his next appearance either right before or at the Royal Rumble.

As seen by the video earlier, he returned on the go home Raw. It was an exciting go home angle, which is rare for go home shows nowadays. (1/1)

WWE may be fast tracking the return of the Authority to boost ratings.

The Authority returned by the end of the month. Maybe the ratings would not have been bad if they had a plan with what to do with the Authority gone. (1/1)

While Hogan will never have a championship run, a retirement match is a definitely possibility. A tag with Cena may have been floated at one point by WWE for WrestleMania 31.

I’ll have to put whole Hogan retirement match in the outstanding rumors for a bit and we’ll see where we are in six months.

If Wrestle Kingdom does well, Jarrett may promote the G1 event on PPV in August. That’s if WK did well.

I honestly am not sure what they would consider a good buy. This site says 12,000 to 15,000 domestic which would have them profit. Those who know more about PPVs, feel free to chim in. I’ll put this in the outstanding column for now.
