*unsponsored post*
I’ve had quite a few people ask me about the skincare, hair and bath products I use. It has taken me a while to find my favourites, it was so difficult to let go of what I was used to before becoming more aware of animal testing and started moving towards more natural products. I have felt such a radical difference in my hair an skin -it was definitely the right choice to make! Anyway, this post is completely unsponsored, I bought these products out of my own free will with my own earth money and they form part of my daily beauty and hygiene routine.
HAIR
• The Victorian Garden Rosemary & Vanilla Moisturizing Shampoo and Argan & Vanilla Hair Conditioner
These products are quite pricey – the shampoo retails for about +/- R105,00 and the conditioner currently retails for +/-R75,00 – it last very long and smells so unbelievably good that you might want to eat it. It is also the only natural hair shampoo and conditioner that does not dry out my hair or leave it dull. The shampoo has a delicious Vanilla and Rosemary fragrance and contains unusual blends of botanical extracts to restore and repair the hair and add shine and lustre. pH balanced, the shampoo is mild and can be used daily. The conditioner is amazing, it nourishes the hair and helps repair damaged strands while improving strength. It contains vital vitamins to boost scalp health and is fragranced with pure vanilla oil. The pure Argan oil in this shampoo is what gives it its magical capabilities! Available at The Victorian Garden Online Store or online at Faithful To Nature.
• Africa Organics Marula Hair Treatment Oil
This stuff is incredible! You can use this oil in two ways – massage it through your hair as a hair treatment and rinse it off or use a few drops on the tips of your fingers to control flyaway hair during styling. Either way, it’s nature’s answer to synthetic silicones. I love heating it up and leaving it in my hair for a few minutes or even overnight – depending on how damaged my hair is, it is an incredible hair treatment! At +/- R80, it is not too badly prices compared to similar products on the market. Available online at Faithful To Nature or Wellness Warehouse stores nation wide.

BOM has created a luscious solid perfume with a blend of jasmine and coconut oils, in a smooth base of beeswax and marula oil. It’s packaged in a beautifully carved hardwood container, and free of any harsh synthetics. I use this as an make-up remover – it gets rid of even the most stubborn liquid eyeliner! • The Victorian Garden Apricot & Walnut Exfoliating Facial Polish
This has become my absolute must-have skincare essential. It is gentle on the skin, but very effective and smells amazing. I love that it does not dry your skin out like many other facial exfoliators, instead it leaves your skin feeling moisturized, soft, clean, smooth and absolutely glowing. It has a fine texture, which to me is the best as I feel like it has better exfoliation properties and does not feel like I am damaging my skin.
At R85.00 this product is not only extremely affordable, but works better than most of the well-known, expensive products I have been using over the years. You can buy it online at Faithful-to-Nature or The Victorian Garden. Read my full review here.
