I have had my 1958 Cadillac series 62 Extended Deck in the restoration process for over 3 and a half years. I am at a point where I need to 1) find someone to finish this project for a reasonable cost or 2) I need to sell this beautiful car as it sits to someone who can finish it.

I am leaning towards selling this beauty and moving on...

Here are the specifics. I found this car years ago in a pole barn in Columbus Ohio with 38,000 original miles. I have a clear original miles Ohio title. The miles are real, I know the history... It was a great find, straight, never damaged in any way. Everything original on the car. I have pics of the day I found her.

Here is what is done: Engine, transmission and rear end are rebuilt and back in the car. The engine was bored 30 over, hard valve seats and the such and is ready to be a driver. Suspension and brake systems are all new, including shocks, springs, brake lines, wheel assemblies, brakes, etc. the entire car has been down to bare metal, metal work done, body work done and repainted, except for the hood, which is bare metal. The front clip is off the car. The front fenders were painted, but I would re-shoot them as they have been passed around a bit. Also, I am not happy with the repair of the driver side rocker panel, I would re-do that. The tires are new wide white walls on the car. I have original, restored hub caps.

All the chrome has been sent out and re-chromed. All emblems were either gold-plated (front and rear "V's"), chrome plated or polished. The bullet grill is original and has been restored. All the stainless is there, some need to be polished, but all are in great condition. The rear bumper and chrome are on the car. All other chrome and emblems are packaged up.

The interior has all been restored, but is not in the car. The instrument cluster has been restored/rebuilt and is in the car. The dash has been re-padded and restored. The tube radio was restored. The upholstery is impeccably restored using exact match materials. It is absolutely gorgeous. Door panels and such have been restored and are ready. I have all the glass. I have a new windshield. All other glass is good to go. I have new carpet, headliner and headliner bows. I have all handles and knobs, original and very nice.

Engine has been started and sounds strong. Steering is operational. Brakes work great. nuts/bolts/etc are bagged and tagged. I believe everything is there.

Car should have the front fenders repainted and must have the hood painted. The driver side rocker underneath needs repaired and painted. I have paint from the re-paint.

I have hundreds of pictures from the restoration process, all down to metal. I have everything...car and all parts...in a single storage garage for viewing.

I have $50,000 in parts and mechanical rebuild restoration alone, plus $$ in body and paint... The car is pretty much ready to re-assemble.

If you know someone who would like to buy this and finish it, I would entertain a fair offer. If you know someone who would finish this without telling me they have to start from ground zero, I would entertain finishing it. At this point my preference would be to sell.

Thank you for any help or guidance you can provide. The car is absolutely gorgeous, super low miles, super straight. I have pics from when I found the car as well.

Best regards
