New 2016 ELR owner (black-black, 1 month and 1500 miles in now) - great car. Maybe not a big deal, but I am noticing an oddity with the remote start and the rear defroster. It seems to come on regardless of temperature, even on warm days when I want to cool the car. Only triggered by remote start.

Background. In early May, there had been a few mornings where the temp (in upstate NY) was unseasonably cold - so I used the remote start. Remote start worked fine. Noticed that the rear defroster came on, and the LED was still illuminated when turning the car on with push-to-start. This is as expected, but as the car was in the garage and didn't need any rear window defrosting, I immediately turned it off when I got in to drive away (though I understand it helps with heating up the car).

So now it is warm in NY, and I've been using the remote start to pre-cool the car. However, the car is still turning on the rear defroster. The rear-defroster LED remains on when I press the main power button (after the remote start). When I go to turn off the unnecessary rear-defroster, I do hear the relay click off when I push the button. I also see the climate power drop down from 40% to 30%. So obviously it was indeed on - not just a user-interface glitch.

Wondering if anyone else is seeing this phenomenon. Next I will try turning off the auto-defrost feature in the config menu. But in any case, I don't understand why it would be coming on when the outside temp is 80+ degrees.

Any others seeing this same behavior? Sure seems like a bug.
