The ICFAI Business School, Hyderabad is one of the most prestigious B- School of the country. The academic units of IBS-Hyderabad are organized around five departments: Finance and Accounting, Marketing and Strategy, Economics, Operations and IT, and Human resources and soft skills. The Case Research Centre of the school develops business cases on an average of over 100 cases per year. Case studies allow students to step into the shoes of the decision makers and deal with issues faced by managers. The students go through around 500 national and international case studies including those from Harvard Business School.

With 19 batches of students already graduated and close to 40,000 alumni employed at the middle and senior level in over 1000 companies across the world, IBS conducts IBSAT (ICFAI Business School Aptitude Test) a centralized admission process for its nine vibrant campuses- Ahmadabad, Bengaluru, Gurgaon, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Kolkata, Pune, Dehradun and Jaipur.

The institution has compulsory residential dormitories and about 30 student clubs for both curricular and extracurricular activities. IBS has a Syndicated Learning Activity that hones a student’s current affairs, general knowledge, domain knowledge, group discussion skills attitude and behavioral aspects.

Students aspiring to have MBA degree approach with varied backgrounds, expertise and experience. However, graduates in any discipline with a minimum of 50 per cent marks are eligible be he/she is experienced or fresher. Students are required to pay hostel accommodation charges of Rs. 40000 per semester and mess expenses of approximately Rs. 24000 per semester.

The institution also offers to bridge loans to students admitted into the IBS programmes till they receive the sanction and disbursement of an educational loan from a bank. They have a memorandum of understanding with more than 25 banks, among which the Bank of Baroda provides a 95 percent loan, mush like Axis bank.

The aspirants of B-School should undertake proper analysis before arriving at any decision rather than getting carried away by advertisements, blogs, etc. The best indicator whether a B-School is reputed or not, is the feedback from alumni and recruiters. The aspirants need to exercise due caution before selecting a B-School.
