Entries for the Telstra Business Women's Awards close on June 25 - nominate someone you admire today.

A lot of Business Chicks members are alumni of the Telstra Business Women's Awards. Now in their 19th year the awards have celebrated so many of Australia's most inspirational and influential women.

It's so important to recognise the women creating the waves and taking the leaps - do you know someone worthy of an award this year?

The awards are open to business owners, women in the private and corporate sector, and the government and community sectors. There are also awards that recognise business innovation and young business women too.

Previous winners include Carolyn Creswell of Carman's Fine Foods, Janine Allis from Boost Juice, Diana Williams from Fernwood and Kristina Karlsson of Kikki K.

Kate McKenzie, Group Managing Director Telstra Innovation, Products and Marketing and Telstra Business Women’s Awards Ambassador, strongly encourages Australian women to get their entries in before the closing date of 25 June.

“Finalists and winners agree the entry process is a very worthwhile investment of time and is in itself rewarding as you review your business and personal journey and reflect on your career achievements.

“We urge women who have been nominated this year to complete their online submissions for the opportunity to join the illustrious list of awards alumni from the past 18 years.”

Nominations for the state and territory awards can be made at www.telstrabusinesswomensawards.com. Entries for the 2013 Awards can be submitted until Tuesday 25 June.

For winners across Australia the awards offer a share in $200,000 in cash and prizes - wouldn't that be lovely!

Winners of state and territory awards will be announced in Queensland on 17 September, Northern Territory on 20 September, Western Australia on 24 September, South Australia on 27 September, the ACT on 9 October, Tasmania on 11 October, Victoria on 15 October and New South Wales on 18 October.

The announcement of the Telstra Australian Business Woman of the Year will be made in Melbourne on 14 November and we have our bets on it being a Business Chick!
