It’s time to unleash the D’Onta Foreman again
The people of Kansas are probably quality Midwesterners, but let’s be serious, Kansas is a basketball school. Even with the struggles of the Longhorns this season, Texas should dominate this game.
Kick off is at 2:30 (late game - I know, right? You can finally have brunch again Saturday!), and the game is on ABC (yes, you read that correctly — a main network channel for this riveting Texas vs. Kansas match-up. Oh, if Texas blows this one...)

The Jayhawks are 1-9 and haven't played any close conference games other than a rather odd performance against the Horned Frogs.
The primary reasons are poor quarterback play and a porous run defense, along with an overall lack of talent. So expect running back D'Onta Foreman to have another big day. If Kansas sells out to stop the run, the secondary is actually rather solid and will likely focus on negating big plays.
If there's one area of concern, it is that David Beaty's team leads the conference in opponent third-down conversion rate and red-zone scoring percentage, though the defense isn't quite as good at avoiding touchdowns scored in that area.
Still, unless something really odd happens, the 'Horns should be able to roll in this one, even if a couple red-zone trips result in field goals.

Once again, Bill Self's Jayhawks have the Big 12 in the palm of their hand and .... what? Kansas has a football team, too, you say? That's how easy it is to forget that they actually compete on the gridiron in Lawrence.
I can't find any situation in which Texas falls to a Jayhawks team that currently owns numerous unfavorable streaks, including the longest active losing streaks to FBS teams (24).
Sure, Texas is far from a perfect team, but the reality is it's home to much more talent than Kansas, and it shouldn't take long for that talent to show up on the scoreboard.
D'Onta Foreman runs wild and break Earl Campbell's 100-yard rushing streak of 11 games and the defense continues to take positive strides.

A breakout performance from Jarrett Allen, combined with incredible rotation defense to neutralize Frank Mason, will help the Longhorns shock the Jayhawks in Allen Fieldhouse by a score of 75-70.
What's that? Football? Ah. Texas will win. The question is: Will they do what *good* teams do against bad teams and win comfortably? Or will they under-perform and let the Hawks hang around?
I say the Longhorns put it together and win a laugher, setting the stage for a TCU game that looks likely to decide Coach Strong's fate. Hopefully the team uses the opportunity to shore up the blocking on field goals and extra points, and Domingue remembers how to loft the ball.
