Jeremiah and Morgan picked an amazing location for their wedding reception, the historic Carolina Country Club located in the middle of Raleigh. The room overlooked the golf course on what turned out to be a really pretty day after starting out not so great. The guest arrived around 5:30pm and had a nice, long cocktail hour with drinks and passed apps until the bridal party arrived.
The Wedding Reception
Once the bridal party arrived, it was time for introductions. I only introduced Morgan and Jeremiah to Beyonce’s “Crazy in Love”. As they entered, the room erupted. They then went right into their first dance “You Are the Best Thing” by Ray Lamontagne. Their dance was excellent! After that, Morgan and her father danced to “Stand by Me” by Ben E. King and then Jeremiah and Morgan’s mother danced to “You Make Me Feel So Young” by the one and only Frank Sinatra. After an amazing seated dinner, it was time for the cake cutting…another amazing creation from Ashley Cakes. I played “Sugar” by Maroon 5 as they smashed each other with cake! Once they cleaned up, several folks gave toasts and Jeremiah’s dad even sang. It was very touching. I loved it! Once the cake was served, it was my turn to get them up and dancing. And that was the easy part! These folks came to get down! From the first to the last song, the dance floor stayed full. The only pause was for the bouquet toss (“Where Them Girls At” by David Guetta) and garter toss (“Suit & Tie” by Justin Timberlake). Then it was more partying until the finale when we sent them off under a confetti shower at the front of the club. What a party! Congrats to the new Mr. and Mrs. Pope!!!
