The Couple made the trip to Charleston, SC from Michigan with about 150 of their closest friends and family members to the beautiful, historic Legare Waring House at Charlestowne Landing.
After the beautiful ceremony, the guests made their way to the patio, which was gorgeously decorated, for cocktail hour and Palmetto Strings continued to play. Just before dinner I introduced the wedding party and the new Mr. and Mrs. Pletscher to Forever by Chris Brown. The wedding party made a tunnel for the couple then they all danced to the dance floor. Karley and Henry then had their first dance as husband and wife, followed by the parent dances.
Once dinner began I played a mix of bluegrass covers selected by the couple, by artists such as Beef Seeds and Pickin’ On Series, and some Indie Rock and standards. After dinner and some entertaining and heartfelt speeches by the Maids of Honor and Best Men, we opened up the dance floor. I played a mix of everything…and I mean everything! From 90’s & 2000’s pop and hip-hop like Backstreet Boys, Miley Cyrus, and Nelly, to some classic rock like Tom Petty, to today’s hits like Justin Beiber and Pitbull. We ended the night with Wagon Wheel, capping off a beautiful night.
Something very unique about this wedding was that the couple rented a “SpeechBooth” where guests would record video messages to them via a microphone connected to an iPad and they even made a really cool “The Pletschers” backdrop for it too! I am sure there are some classic videos the couple will cherish.
Thank you again Karley and Henry! It was an honor to be your DJ, and congratulations again to the new Mr. & Mrs. Pletscher!
