Love the Marcia Derse fabrics and abstract designs forming! The border fabrics rocks!!

The Double Wedding Rings class at the

Wisconsin Museum of Quilts and Fiber Arts!

These amazing gals, did a lot of work today!

From piles of fabrics, into beautiful designs!

Enjoy the walk through of day one of the class!

Great use of her zig zag, and bright prints! Zingy! ...and will have a striped border!

Fussy cut flowers and bold colors! FUN!

Susan took on some paper piecing to make a bright lights, big city quilt.

Ellie, did some fussy cutting and adapted her arcs for the swirl in the middle...

Going for each piecing looking different and unique.... Great start!

Oakshott cottons, orphan blocks, a play on negative space, and some raw edge appliqué taking shape here!

A quilt started by a mom, never finished, a quilt top started by daughter, never finished... bringing the two projects into one completed... A great story telling quilt.
She took my summer class, in June, when I did the 15 Minutes of play class, and returned today to show me her completed quilt! Isn't it amazing?!! I just love it!

Kay manipulated her middle shapes, to form a bold flower. Sweet!

Lovely vibrant Kaffe prints and dots! It glows! I love it!

Calista had a beautiful palette of golds pinks, oranges and purples... lovely.

Batiks and pinwheels!! Orphan blocks turned into centers of the concave squares... Love how the corners will vibrate and glow.  so much fun!

Four patch blocks help make a new design in the center...  Can't way tot see this on it's border fabric!
