Welcome to Weekly Wishes, a personal goal setting community where you can share your upcoming dreams and hold yourself accountable to achieve them. I’d love for you to join us and add a link to your own goal-oriented blog post! It’s a great way to make new friends from around the world and gain some motivation to achieve your weekly aspirations.

Hello friends and Happy Monday. :) This past week was spent working and shopping around for some new living room items. My living room is really starting to feel like a “home” now and I’m so happy with how it’s coming along. I’ve never decorated something so intensely, but I actually really, really enjoy it. It’s kind of like graphic designing…but in physical form! It was also a close friend’s birthday this weekend, so I was happy to see and celebrate with him. :) Other than that, things have been pretty lowkey lately. Just working away and trying to enjoy the stillness. :)

In other news…after a ridonkulous amount of thought, I’ve decided to retire Weekly Wishes at the end of this month.

I’ve been hosting this linkup every week for almost two years now, and I have loved seeing it grow into a community of go-getters. It’s beautiful to see so many people come together to set goals and make things happen and I enjoy every comment and email I receive from people who have said that Weekly Wishes has helped them accomplish their goals. It’s such a simple practice, but I’m amazed by the impact people have seen from it. To the people who regularly participate, I am so impressed and humbled by your participation.

But as with anything, I think it’s important to take stock every now and then and decide if something still fits into your life and goals. As much as I LOVE goal setting and creating communities, I think I’ve let Weekly Wishes sit stagnantly for too long and haven’t put the TLC into it that it deserves. It feels like a project that’s “there,” but that I haven’t had the time to love or care for in recent months. Instead of letting it trot along without much direction, I think it would be best to let it retire. You are, of course, welcome to continue writing weekly goals on your blog. In fact, I encourage it! I also won’t be disappearing from the goal-setting game completely. Rather than sharing weekly goals, I’ll be sharing monthly goals in longer form, with goals and stats for myself and The Nectar Collective. I hope you’ll find those posts even more informative and interesting. They won’t be a linkup, but you’re welcome to leave a link to your own posts in the comments — I’d love to read them!

Lastly, as Weekly Wishes retires, I’ll soon be launching a new project with the similar objective of “creating progress.” It’s called The Blog Hive and it’s geared toward bloggers and business owners who want to create a buzzing, beautiful, and profitable blog. If you want to stay in touch with the Weekly Wishes community, The Blog Hive will likely be a great place to do that. :) You can sign up for our newsletter for updates on when that will be released. I can’t wait! It’s one of the big passion projects I’ve been working on lately. :) Though it’s a little different, I think it will be the perfect successor to Weekly Wishes.

Again, thank you for participating in Weekly Wishes and being here, now. It’s hard to let go of a project that has been part of TNC for so long, but when it’s time, it’s time. Thank you so much for understanding! I will be doing one last round of Weekly Wishes next week for anyone who would like to participate in the last one. :)

Last Week’s Goals

Start working on my other projects!! I did! I also mentioned one of them above — I can’t wait to share more details about it! :)

This Week’s Goals

Sell or donate things I don’t need. I listed a bunch of random things on Craigslist yesterday, hoping to get rid of some furniture and whatnot that’s sitting around my house. Surprisingly, people are actually interested in them! I’m hoping to sell all of the furniture I no longer need so that it feels less cluttered here. :)

Stop mindlessly checking things on the internet. I’ve talked about this before, but it’s difficult to really get to a mindset where I don’t feel compelled to check my email or other sites every 10 minutes. I have a bad habit of multitasking in distracting ways — like checking my Twitter while doing something business-related. I know some people create set times when they check their email and social media, rather than opening the tabs sporadically throughout the day. I think that’s something I need to try this week!
