eBay Motors is excited to announce the release of our new merchandising and inventory tool for vehicle sellers, the eBay Motors Vehicle Merchandising Platform. This tool will allow dealers to list their inventory more efficiently, and help dealers maximize their success on eBay Motors. This tool was acquired as part of our purchase of Cargigi in March 2016. As part of this acquisition, invited sellers can now leverage this technology to help onboard their vehicle inventory to eBay Motors.
What can this tool do?
First off, this is a complete eBay listing tool. Whether you are planning on listing via Auction, Buy It Now, or one of our classified listing programs, you now have access to an industry leading tool.
The tool is designed to let you list a vehicle quickly, and then help you properly merchandise your listing. There’s also a reporting feature, so you can see your results and figure out where you can do better.
We’ve incorporated a lead management tool which allows you to properly manage the CRM process. For example, if you don’t want low bids coming through, you can set filters to determine which bids go to CRM and which do not.
The tool is also tied directly to the [new] eBay subscription program. If you buy a package of 50 listings per month you can set up the tool to list the cars you specify and automatically list them on your chosen listing day. This full integration helps you get the most out of whichever subscription you are on.
How will it help eBay sellers?
The great news for eBay sellers is that there is no additional charge to implement the tool. Existing Dealer Center users will be migrated to the new tool, where they will have access to a number of advanced features not previously available, including:
The ability to receive and merge inventory from multiple sources
Enhanced export capabilities, which allow you to send inventory to multiple marketing channels
Lead activity report generation, with the capability to track phone calls, emails, and text messages
An evaluation tool, to help you decide which cars may be best suited to sell on eBay Motors
Mobile functionality, so you can manage and list vehicles right from your mobile device
