eBay Listing: 1959 Chevrolet El Camino
This car is really going to make someone a very happy owner. The guys around the shop have been asking if they could buy it and I said, “Of course! It will be on eBay in a few days. Have at it!” Hey, Gas Monkey has to get paid and I want the person who really want this car to get it.
I had Tom change out the distributor cap, rotor and points and put new plug wires on it and that engine starts right up and purs like a kitten.
We also thought the ignition switch was a little sketchy and found out it was a generic one. We located a real deal GM 1959 ignition switch and now that is correct and working properly.
We rolled the car in the paint booth and Keenan removed the old sticky gooey white tape someone put on the side trim thinking it would look like paint. What a mess.
Once that old junk was gone, we masked off the car, mixed up the correct white paint and did the job right!
We sourced a carpet kit from eBay and I had Jorden install that. It went in really easily and took him about an hour to trim and fit. That really improved the interior of the car. Much better than the bare floor!
Now this great little ’59 is ready to be sold on eBay. Let the bidding begin!
