Don’t forget to head over to VegFest today at Delaware Park. From 10am to 6pm, hundreds of people will be attending the event, which celebrates”A plant based diet and its benefits in an age of climate change”. If you’ve been thinking about changing the way that you eat, or you’ve already made important decisions that revolve around cutting more meat from your diet, then this festival is right up your alley. You will meet others in the community who are dedicated to growing sustainable, healthy food, while impacting climate change. During the day, there will be speakers, entertainers, rescue animals, children’s activities, and of course plenty of delicious and healthy food to eat. There’s even a wildly successful 5K run called The Tofurky Trot. In 2014, over 5000 people attended the event, making its inaugural year a huge success.
