A local dune buggy aficionado is planning to host a dune buggy festival here in Buffalo this summer. Similar to the MOTB Show N Shine, held each year held at the Outer Banks (lead image), the Buffalo dune buggy festival would attract buggy enthusiasts from around the country.

In order to pull off the undertaking, a prime site must be selected – one that is centrally located and preferably free considering that there are a number of additional expenses associated with coordinating such an endeavor.

So far, Canalside is too expensive, Larkinville is not available during the preferred weekend (there is a wedding), and now the organizer is hoping that the community will help to pinpoint the perfect spot for the event.

One of the biggest attractions for the owners of the buggies will be a chance to caravan their rides to see Niagara Falls once they are in town. Hence the name of the festival – Manx Over The Falls. I’m happy that Buffalo will be able to share in this fun event, considering that the drivers could have easily skipped right over to The Falls without ever thinking twice about this city.

Now we need a hot location to show off Buffalo in an incredible light. Where do you think the optimal location for this sort of beach buggy rally is?
