Let's face it, Laurel Lance (Katie Cassidy) wasn't everyone's favorite character on Arrow. Fans of the comics were attached to her character -- after all, she is/was the legendary Black Canary -- but after her death in season 4, an integral part of the series felt like it was missing. She was the last thread from the Green Arrow comics that made the series feel like a Green Arrow show. Dinah Laurel Lance is Oliver Queen's partner, that's just how it has always worked.
On the last episode of Arrow, Laurel Lance returned, except it wasn't the Laurel we've all grown accustomed to. Black Siren made her way from Central City in order to fool Team Arrow, and it almost worked.
