The Tampa Bay Buccaneers aren’t confident linebacker Devante Bond can play against the Atlanta Falcons, as head coach Dirk Koetter hinted today that they’d call up a linebacker from the practice squad. Greg Auman of the Tampa Bay Times now says they’re “expected” to call up Keyes to replace Bond, who’s still limited in practice with a hamstring injury.
Other than Keyes, though, the Bucs are completely healthy. Luke Stocker returned to practice without limitations, and should be good to go on Sunday.
The same can’t be said for the Atlanta Falcons, who have several nicks to veteran players — and especially former Buccaneers. Adrian Clayborn was limited again in practice with a shoulder injury, while Dashon Goldson landed on the injury list with a hamstring strain. With rookie safety Keanu Neal ruled out and safety Kemal Ishmael limited, too, the Falcons may have an issue on the back end of their defense on Sunday.
All of the important players are healthy, though, with Julio Jones returning to full practice status today. Don’t expect injuries to make the Falcons an easy opponent for Tampa Bay on Sunday.
