However, Miller shines brightest of all, as the 6’2”, 215-pound superstar already put up numbers worthy of the game’s most prestigious individual achievement. In 2012, Miller connected on 148 of 254 passing attempts for 2,039 yards and 15 touchdowns while throwing just six interceptions. He also rushed 227 times for an additional 1,271 yards and 13 scores. Those are numbers fit for a king at this level, and that is what Miller will be at the end of the year—the king of college football. Ohio State Finishes Regular Season Undefeated, Loses Championship The Buckeyes are hoping to capitalize on last year’s under-the-radar success by pulling off a second straight undefeated campaign. It’s a daunting path that is full of danger, given the tough Big Ten schedule the Buckeyes face this year. After gunning down a myriad of foes around the county a season ago, OSU is going to be circled on a lot of schedules this year. It’s a team that everyone wants to beat, especially given the Buckeyes' preseason No. 2 status in both the AP and USA Today polls. However, Meyer will have his experienced unit ready to become just the ninth team to accomplish the lofty goal of back-to-back undefeated seasons. Miller is the perfect leader under center, as his elite skills and resolve will translate to more success on the field. Programs like Wisconsin, Northwestern and Michigan will put up major resistance along the way, but ultimately the Buckeyes will prevail and roll into the conference championship game undefeated. Regardless of what opponent OSU faces from the Legends Divison, the Leaders will emerge victorious due to superior talent and coaching. That would cement an undefeated regular season and conference crown, but not a national title. That likely goes through Alabama again this year—a team that looks far too mighty to be conquered.
