Christmas Tree Lighting & Parades

Doylestown Tree Lighting & Santa Coming to Town
10 N. Main St, Doylestown

November 29th, 6:00pm

Beginning in the Starbucks Courtyard, watch as Santa rides in an old-fashioned firetruck along with Central Bucks High School West’s marching band. To keep the festive mood up, the high school’s choir will be singing holidaysongs as well. At about 6:30pm, Santa will countdown for the tree lighting. Afterwards, free cookies and cider will be available to all. Children can meet with Santa at his house, located on Hamilton and State Street.

Yardley Christmas Tree Lighting

Join Santa to light the Yardley tree! Enjoy hot chocolate provided by Continential Tavern and listen to members of the Pennsbury High School’s Falconairs sing Christmas carols.

New Hope Tree Lighting Ceremony
Cannon Square, Ferry St, New Hope

December 1st, 5:00pm

Join New Hope for their annual tree lighting ceremony. Enjoy special performances from local school and community choral groups. Santa Claus and Mrs. Clause will be arriving by horse drawn buggy at approximately 6:00pm. The tree will light and the first show set to music will commence. The holiday tree light show will continue through the season with more than 30,000 LED lights with a 15 minute long light extravaganza set to holiday music. Light refreshments and cookies will be made available for all.

Bolton Mansion Holiday House & Tree Lighting Ceremony
85 Holly Drive, Levittown

December 6th, 6:00pm – 9:00pm

Enjoy the Holiday House with its Christmas decorations, music, candle making, food, and beverages! Meet the historic reenactors and stop at the gift shop for the perfect gift. Entrance to the Holiday house is $5 per adult and free for those 16 years old or below.

Fallsington Tree Lighting
Stagecoach Tavern, Meetinghouse Square, Fallsington

December 6th, 6:00pm

Guests are invited to gather ‘round and celebrate the lighting of our Christmas tree adorned with handcrafted ornaments made by the children from the William Penn Center Preschool and Kindergarten and enjoy the beautiful seasonal music presented by the Fallsington United Methodist Church Worship Choir. This event will be held if raining, sleeting, or snowing as long as roads are passable.

Lansdale Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony
Railroad Plaza, West Main & Green Street, Lansdale

December 6th, 6:00pm

Holiday music will be performed by the North Penn High School Chorus along with refreshments provided by Clemens Food Group and Rosenberger’s Dairies. Old St. Nick will arrive at 6:30pm to lead the Christmas tree lighting countdown. This year, after the tree lighting, visit with Santa in the “Santa House”  or head over to the Lansdale Library and take in the animated version of “How The Grinch Stole Christmas.” There will also be First Friday activities in downtown Lansdale.

Quakertown Holiday Tree Lighting Festival

With an ice sculpting display, live alpacas, strolling Victorian carolers and Christmas and holiday vendors. It wouldn’t be festive without Santa’s appearance brought into town on a firetruck! Visit participating stores for complimentary hot cider, hot chocolate, and cookies.

55th Annual Souderton Holiday Parade
Main St, Broad St, E. Broad St, and School Ln, Souderton

December 7th, 11:00am

The parade runs about an hour and a half as it winds it way down Main Street from Grace Bible Church to the intersection with Broad Street and then out East Broad Street to the intersection of School Lane. The remainder of the day is filled with activities for the entire family.

Telford Tree Lighting
Marketplace at Telford Station, Penn Avenue and Main Street, Telford

December 7th, 7:00pm

A enjoy an evening of carol singing, a welcome by Telford’s mayor, entertainment by local students and then the arrival of Santa Claus on a fire truck with flashing lights and siren to light the official town Christmas tree.  Children can sit on Santa’s lap to give him their Christmas lists, while parents take photos and a giant elf hovering around to make sure all is well.

Yardley’s Olde Fashioned Christmas Parade
American Legion, Yardley

December 7th, 3:30 – 5:00pm

String Bands, George Washington, Belgian Horses, Sponge Bob, Batman and all their friends. Watch and listen to Pennsbury’s Marching Band as they escort the one and only Santa Claus! The parade will kick off at the American Legion at 3:30 sharp and proceed down Main Street to the Friends Meeting House on North Main Street.

Newtown Holiday Parade
Stocking Works Building, South State St, Newtown

December 8th, 2:00PM

The holiday parade, sponsored by the Newtown Business Association, is a family tradition!  It will begin on South State St at the Stocking Works building and continue through the Borough. The parade will feature the local high school marching bands, a Mummers band, floats, antique cars, fire trucks, Santa, and more. This year will also feature recognition for participants’ efforts in making the parade terrific. Float categories include best theme, best decorated, and most creative. A hand-picked panel will be reviewing every participant in the parade and deciding on the best based on their presentation, creativity, and theme.

Want to add a touch of Christmases past to your holiday decorating this year? Learn to make some typical ornaments of the Late Victorian Era, using paper, fabric, confections, and die cut paper scraps.Project will include tinsel and cotton ornaments, spun glass Santas, paper cutouts and fairy ornaments. Cost is $15/$13 members, $12/$10 youth age 8 and up and includes materials. There is limited space, so pre-registration required.

The Nutcracker

DCP proudly presents a holiday classic, The Nutcracker. At a Christmas Eve party, Clara’s godfather givers her a Nutcracker in the form of a soldier. While Clara tries to sleep, he comes to life. He tells her that he is a prince under enchantment of the wicked Mouse King. Clara joins him in adventures to strange land to regain his throne. Can Clara and the Nutcracker defeat the Mouse King before more? Tickets are $10 per person.

25th Annual Christmas at Aldie

Kick off the holiday season with us at the Heritage Conservancy’s home in historic Aldie Mansion for a black tie optional event that includes cocktails, dinner, a live auction and festive entertainment! A Very Town and Country Christmas

The Nutcracker

Going strong after 30 years, Dance Theatre of Pennsylvania returns with The Nutcracker once again. After sell-out crowds last season, the Doylestown-based ballet company will again present four shows of the two-act, Tchaikovsky ballet. Holiday Winemaker’s Dinner: A Vintage Christmas – NEW!

Join in on an old fashioned holiday celebration like the ones you may have enjoyed as a kid (think Norman Rockwell, tinsel, and popcorn garlands). Experience the magic of millions lights illuminating acres of farmland. Encounter familiar characters and whimsical displays. A must-see for the holiday season! A carload is $20 Monday through Thursday and $25 Friday through Sunday. Horse-drawn wagon rides will be available Thursdays through Sundays at $12 per person, weather permitting. Tractor-drawn wagon rides will be available Monday through Wednesday at $12 per person, weather permitting.

Santa’s Arrival by Helicopter

Winter Wonderland: Holiday Decoration

Newtown Borough Holiday House Tour

Join Newtown Borough as they celebrate 51 years of holiday house tours. Entry includes private residences and several public buildings, including the Half-Moon Inn. Tickets are $25 per person.  Tickets can be purchased in advance at the Newtown Book & Record Exchange or online at the Associations website. On the day of the tour, tickets can be purchased at the Half-Moon Inn and the Stocking Works. No photos or high-heeled shoes are permitted in the houses.

Annual Christmas Festival

Santa arrives in a parade on Saturday to kick off weekend visits with the children through December 23rd. Hot mulled cider, toasted marshmallows are seasonal favorites. The Village is beautifully decorated, Victorian-style, with fruit wreaths and greenery. There will be live entertainment and admission is free.

Breakfast With Santa!

Come join in on the annual Breakfast With Santa! It’s all you can eat eggs, pancakes, sausage, hash browns, muffins, juice, coffee, and tea. Tickets are $5 per person 13 years or older, $3 for children between 6 and 12 years old, and children under 6 are free! Digital pictures with Santa will be available for $5. All proceeds benefit Good Friends, Inc.

Holiday Festivities for the Family

Begin the holiday season at our house. Enjoy Fonthill’s holiday decorations during our ground floor open house. Sip hot cider and enjoy and make a handmade ornament.  Then walk over to the Moravian Pottery and Tile Works and help decorate the tree with your handmade ornament. Enjoy hot chocolate, cookies, holiday music, and a visit with Santa. Admission is free to both Fonthill Castle and the Moravian Pottery and Tile Works.

Mercer Museum Holiday Open House

Delight in the sounds, scents, and scenes of the holidays at the Mercer’s traditional Holiday Open House. The festivities kick-off with a musical parade escorting St. Nick to the museum’s Log House. In the Log House, Santa spends the evening listening to children’s wishes and gifting keepsake ornaments. Sip hot cider, sing along with carolers, listen to musical performances, wish your troubles away with the “burning of the greens,” and make a simple ornament to help adorn one of the holiday trees featured in an upcoming exhibit. This is a free event.

Fonthill Holiday Lights Meander

Meander at your own pace through Henry Mercer’s unique castle-like home to enjoy the seasonal decorations – candles, Christmas trees, and greens throughout.
