The upfronts are done and the major networks have informed everyone about their plans for the upcoming 2014-15 fall TV season, including news of their cancellations, renewals and new show orders. If you look closely, you will see that there are 25 new shows in the schedule below.
If you’re wondering about the new shows, I’ve included descriptions after the schedule.
This list is pertinent to the front part of the 2014-2015 season. If there are shows you know were renewed or ordered, but you don’t see them here, that’s because they’ll be showing up in the latter half of the season.

(If Heigl can make me become a fan of hers again, I’d be impressed. I gave up on her when she threw that snit some years back about about money, awards, etc.. -Bruce)

Starring:Ben McKenzie, Jada Pinkett Smith, Robin Lord Taylor, Erin Richards, Sean Pertwee
Before there was Batman, there was GOTHAM. Everyone knows the name Commissioner Gordon. But what is known of Gordon’s story and his rise from rookie detective to Police Commissioner?
(Despite being a comic fan, I have zero draw to the pre-teen prequel, Gotham. Yes, it’s about the characters as they were kids. I just am not feeling it. But since I’m a genre fan, I may check it out. But no promises. -Bruce)

Jane Villanueva (Rodriguez) is a driven young woman when suddenly all of Jane’s life plans are turned upside down when she sees her doctor for a routine check-up and is accidentally artificially inseminated with a specimen meant for the patient in the next room.

Starring: Ioan Gruffudd, Alana De La Garza
Doctor Henry Morgan (Ioan Gruffudd), New York City’s star medical examiner, has a secret. He doesn’t just study the dead to solve criminal cases, he does it to solve the mystery that has eluded him for 200 years—the answer to his own inexplicable immortality.

Starring: Scott Bakula, Lucas Black, Zoe McLellan
A drama about the local field office that investigates criminal cases affecting military personnel in the Big Easy, a city known for its music, entertainment and decadence. Leading the team is Special Agent Dwayne Pride (Bakula), a native of NOLA who is driven by his need to do what is right.

Based on the DC Comics series Hellblazer, (Yes, like the movie of the same name) seasoned demon hunter and master of the occult John Constantine specializes in giving hell… hell.
(The movie can be fun, in the right moment when it comes on TV. Not to mention we get to see a young Shia LaBeouf. I’ll be checking this new show out, out of curiosity, and who knows! -Bruce)
