I love statistics and I know some of you do too. I use Clicky Web Analytics (Premium) to provide metrics by which I can judge the reach and effectiveness of this site. My objective is to get my writing in front of as many people as I possibly can. These statistics reflect the period from January 1, 2016 through June 30, 2016.
Some statistical categories may be under-reported due to the fact that I do not use post excerpts. This means visitors to the front page of this site can read eight posts and it only counts as one page view. Mailing list subscribers and users of RSS feed readers receive the complete text of all posts written on a particular day. Many sites use post excerpts, forcing readers to come to the site to read the entire post. I want to make it as easy as possible for people to read my writing even if it reduces several statistical categories. It is for this reason, I do not use post excerpts.
