A big game update has gone live in Star Trek Timelines, the mobile game for all Trekkies and strategy RPG lovers. The intergalactic conflicts are getting more and more heated in the science fiction universe, which is why the Starfleet has commanded that all spacecraft be updated and improved. All one-star and two-star ships as well as the Enterprise-D, the Defiant, and the Enterprise 1701 can be upgraded thanks to the new patch. What’s even better: They can be upgraded multiple times, improving the various stats of the ships each time. As soon as a new upgrade is available or whenever a new ship can be built, players will receive a notification.

The update also tweaks selecting a crew for an Away Team mission. Thanks to a new filter option, it will be more straightforward and clearer than ever to put together the right crew for a mission on a distant planet or elsewhere. It will be possible to filter them by stats, such as Security, Command, and Medical, among others. The most skilled crew members will always show up on top.

Ship combat has also received some important tweaks. Crew members are now color-coded for their type, and it will be more apparent when they are currently used in combat.

Last but not least, there are some changes concerning Chronitons. They will show up on the main screen from now on so that players always have an overview of how far they can still travel. The Warp 10 is now called Warp Max and warps players the maximum amount of times they can afford with their Chronitons.

It’s been a while since the dwarves have made a guest appearance in Elvenar, bringing lots of new technologies and lots of riches to the strategy game. Players have helped this ancient race get back to the fame and honor of their glory days, which is why they have left the kingdom. In their stead, the Elvenar community can look forward to the magical fairies. Just like the dwarves did back last year, this ancient race has come to your kingdom and settled down in a quiet corner. These magical beings are true masters of anything related to flora and fauna. As soon as players reach the necessary level of the race, they can grow all kinds of plants and breed various animal species. Despite their complex production chains, there is a lot more to the fairies than that.

As soon as the fairies are added to the free-to-play building game, there will be two new updates available. Players will for example be able to establish two additional antique wonders. The second update will add new troops to the fairies which will help in any combative situation.

Some units will be rather passive and protect allied troops, but others are so offensive that they can attack two times per round.

Get ready to expand your vault! Game developer Bethesda Softworks has announced a new update for the post-apocalyptic simulation Fallout Shelter. The patch is scheduled to come out sometime later this week, and it will bring all kinds of new content and features to the mobile game. Thanks to the new crafting workshop, players will soon be able to craft nifty items from the worthless junk that their dwellers find on their expeditions in the wasteland. This will allow them to independently craft their own weapons and armor. In order to simplify the search for the supposedly worthless junk, players will receive a new map type in their lunchboxes once the update goes live. Anyone who doesn’t want to try their luck can also find outfits and weapons from Fallout 4 in their lunchboxes.

Since life underground can get depressing, the patch brings something new for dwellers’ quality of life. In the barbershop, the apocalyptic survivors can get stylish hair-does and modern hair-cuts. Who knows whether the makeovers will inspire an increase in procreation?

Additionally, dwellers can soon enjoy more pets in Fallout Shelter. There will not only be new dogs and cats, but also parrots. Lonely vault inhabitants will be able to have a conversation with their chatty birds and receive pet bonuses.

Last but not least, the patch fixes smaller bugs and issues. Bethesda Softworks has already announced that there is a lot more to come in the future.

Clash Royale is still not available for all players in all territories. Currently, the tower defense game based on the Clash of Clans universe is only available in certain territories as part of its soft launch to fix any remaining game issues. That doesn’t stop the guys and girls over at Supercell from releasing one game update after the next. It makes sense, as the community will expect a good amount of content and features when the mobile game launches in the next few days. The latest patch that was released today brings a lot of new features to explore. Most excitingly, players will be able to unlock a brand new arena.

The Builder’s Workshop can be unlocked for 1700 Trophies. In return, the Royal Arena will be more expensive unlocking at 2000 Trophies. Additionally, players can now create and save multiple card decks. This means that they don’t have to constantly rearrange their deck and can simply create various decks for different situations. The update also brings six new cards to Clash Royale adding additional functions.

Players who don’t mind spending some money on the free-to-play game can look forward to two new chests that have been added to the in-game shop. These can be purchased for a small amount of money to get some legendary cards.

On top of that, Clash Royale can now be enjoyed in more than 14 languages. It seems as though the worldwide release really is right around the corner. We will keep you posted.

The latest world in Plants vs. Zombies 2 added a brand new game mode to the tower defense game. In the past, we have enjoyed the conveyor belt type levels, the levels in which we had to collect sunlight, or the levels in which we were only allowed to lose a certain amount of plants. The Modern Day added match-3 type levels to the mix, which we are obsessed with. Despite loving them so much, we have to admit that we got a little confused about them first, since they are so different from anything else in the mobile game. We decided to share a few tips on how to easily make it through the stages.

Swipe and Match

When you start the match-3 levels for the first time, you might be a little confused at the map – we certainly were. The entire map is randomly filled with a few different plants – ranging from defensive to offensive ones. First of all, you should know that you can’t just randomly move them on the map. Your goal is to match at least three of the same type. You can only swap adjacent plants horizontally or vertically to match them. They will then disappear leaving behind sunlight. New plants will slide down from the top of the screen. If you match more than four plants of the same type, you will not only receive more sunlight, but also trigger a green leaf attack for one of the matched specimen. You end the level by matching the predefined number of plants.

Tactical Advice

While this may seem very straightforward, there are a few tactics to keep in mind. Naturally, you will constantly be attacked by various zombies. Once they eat one of your greens, that specific tile will remain empty. Therefore, you should keep an eye on the set-up of your level as you mix and match your greenery. Try to have Wall-Nuts and other defensive plants at the front of your map. In return, mix and match any greens that don’t attack your enemies when they are in the back, as they won’t do anything to support you there. Try to keep an eye on how balanced your lanes are as well, as the walking dead can quickly overrun them once they are breached.

Once you collect a specific amount of sunlight, you can upgrade some of your plants. Choose wisely, as it will make a big difference in the end. Don’t combine a fire plant with one that freezes your enemy, as they will nullify each other. We usually make sure to upgrade our Wall-Nuts first, if possible with a defensive plant that also harms your opponents.

We hope our tips were able to help. If you have any other advice, feel free to post it in the comments below.

It seems like 2016 just started last week, yet here we are at the end of February. Dragomon Hunter has successfully started the new year with significantly more than 500,000 players after having gone into open beta in October 2015. In order to keep their community up to date on upcoming plans for the MMORPG, the Berlin based publishers Aeria Games have sent around a newsletter. While the studio doesn’t give too much information on the upcoming March update, it is possible to get some details by reading between the lines. It seems as though players can look forward to the biggest game update to date in Dragomon Hunter. It will increase the level cap, which is always fun for max-level players. Additionally, there will be a brand new character class which will bring even more opportunities to hunt and catch the many different monsters. As though that wasn’t enough, there will also be brand new costumes.

Without going into too much detail, the studio also promises new maps, dungeons, and companions for players to enjoy. More precise information will only be available when the patch goes online and the publisher releases the official patch notes on the RPG’s homepage. Until then, we have to remain patient. The last patch for the online game went live in the beginning of February. If this pattern continues, we should be able to delve into the new update next week. We will certainly keep you posted!

An empire doesn’t build itself. The Goodgame Empire community is well aware of this. Anyone who wants power and honor in the strategy game has to work for it. Naturally, there are quite a few quests that can be completed diplomatically, but sometimes you need to let swords, axes, and bows and arrows speak for themselves. How does an attack work in Goodgame Empire? How can you wisely plan an attack that will lead to success? We here at browsergamez.com have a few tips and tricks that we want to share with you to guarantee that you leave the battlefield as a winner!

Find Out What You Have to Expect!

First and foremost, you should learn the strengths and weaknesses of your opponent to successfully plan your attack in the browser based game. There is a significant difference between attacking another player or a robber baron. The first thing you should do is send an agent to spy on the inimical castle. He will be able to inform you on your opponent’s troops. That allows you to improve your army before attacking if necessary. You should also analyze who it is that you’re trying to attack. Look at the color of the castle’s name to find out whether that player is an ally of yours or maybe even has a peace contract with you. Naturally, you should think twice before you interrupt the peace. If you’re at war with the castle that you are considering to attack, you obviously don’t have to reconsider.

How Will You Attack?

Once you’ve made your choice to send your armed troops towards an inimical castle, you have to decide from which side you plan to attack them. Each castle in Goodgame Empire has a front and two sides. You can either focus your attack on the middle or send a few of your troops to attack from one or both sides. Keep in mind however that only two types of troops can attack from the sides, but more than six from the middle. Attacking the front should therefore always be the basis of your attack. You can simply move the types of troops by dragging and dropping them into the respective slots. Here you can also decide how many soldiers should head into battle. The little “plus” button increases the number while the “minus” icon decreases them. As soon as you reach a higher level in the strategy game, you can also choose to attack your enemies in several waves. This allows you to choose which troops head into battle when.

Keep in mind that the battle doesn’t begin immediately after you send your troops into battle. Your soldiers have to walk for a while before they reach the inimical castle. The further away it is, the longer they will walk. Don’t expect to completely surprise your enemy either. They can see you as soon as you are in their range of vision. This allows them to defend themselves against your attack. But hey, the game has to be fair!

The Reward of War

If you manage to defeat your opponent, your soldiers will loot the inimical castle. However, your troops can only carry a certain amount of resources. It is specified how much each unit can carry in Goodgame Empire. It is also not possible to loot all valuables that your enemy might have. You can also look forward to winning honor points and rising up in the ranking.

Bethesda Softworks, the studio behind game franchises such as Fallout or The Elder Scrolls, wants to continue developing new games for mobile devices according to Director Todd Howard. In an interview with our colleagues over at Gamespot at the 2016 DICE Summit, Howard reveals that the studio was overwhelmed at Fallout Shelter’s massive success. For a while, the post-apocalyptic simulation was even able to out-gross mobile behemoth Candy Crush Saga last year. Within the first two weeks after its release, Fallout Shelter was able to make more than five million dollars. Considering that the simulation was only supposed to be a little treat for the franchise’s community while waiting for the release of Fallout 4, the studio is more than pleased with the title’s success. Howard reveals that many employees at Bethesda Softworks are constantly playing various mobile games, including him. His favorite apps are currently Hearthstone, Clash Royale, and Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes among many others. Particularly Hearthstone is one of his favorites.

It is no wonder then that the studio is planning on further expanding their mobile gaming line-up, releasing more titles in the future. It is also not surprising that The Elder Scrolls: Legends, which was announced at last year’s E3, is going to be a trading card game set in the roleplaying game’s universe. Despite the interview and Howard’s excitement for the mobile gaming industry, there has not been any new information on the upcoming TCG since its initial revelation at the international gaming expo.

The free-to-play golf game Winning Putt is getting a brand new update! Bandai Namco are keeping players informed by releasing regular updates called the “Letter from the Groundskeeper”.

This Letter from the Groundskeeper is aimed at making sure Winning Putt fans know exactly what’s going on with their favorite golf game. The letter is being used by Bandai Namco to talk to their community to make sure that they can make the gaming experience in Winning Putt the best it can possibly be. It’s clear that the folks behind Winning Putt have been listening to the players, as the latest updates are designed to address some of the biggest concerns that budding golfers have with the game.

Gameplay Changes

It’s very difficult to have a new update to a game without the mechanics of the game changing. Bandai Namco have tweaked some of the gameplay elements to make things more intuitive and fair when players are on the green. On top of the normal bug fixes, the team behind Winning Putt have changed the way that “Stamina” and “Mentality” work in the game. Stamina and Mentality are two stats that are drained as the game goes on, reducing even more whenever the player lands in a bunker or in the rough. The latest changes to Stamina and Mentality make it so that players have the option to play conservatively and will not be punished. It is now often a better idea to take an extra shot to avoid an obstacle than to take a risky swing hoping that the ball will sail over.

Improved Guild System

It seems that Winning Putt will be getting a new guild system in the near future. Bandai Namco have been listening to their players as many fans have been asking for a more robust guild system. In order to make this a reality, Winning Putt will soon have a full guild leveling system, along with bonuses for guild members, and a guild member cap increase. It looks like belonging to a Winning Putt guild will be a much more meaningful thing to do in the future. On top of these guild changes, there’s also a brand new course in the pipeline. Not much is known about this new area, but it will be set on a completely alien planet!

As soon as we get any more news about Winning Putt, we will be sure to add it to our news section. For a more in-depth look at the game, check out our Game of the Day where we featured Winning Putt as one of our favorite sports games online.
