Happy Birthday to World of Warships! It’s hard to believe that it’s been a year already since Wargaming’s third historic war game was released. In order to celebrate the online game’s first birthday, the guys and girls over at Wargaming have released a nifty infographic that shares some interesting information about the last 12 months of World of Warships. In case you’re not so familiar with the online gaming industry, it has become quite a tradition to release infographics to celebrate game anniversaries.

In the last 365 days, Wargaming has updated World of Warships from version 0.5.0 to 0.5.11. More than 9.5 million players have registered an account during this time with more than 3.4 million captains from China alone. The next most active region is Russia with more than 700,000 users. The rest of the community is made up of European, American, and Asian players respectively. In total this international group of players has battled it out against each other in more than 1.8 billion matches and has sailed more than 56 billion kilometers. That’s like traveling approximately 379 times from the Earth to the sun. There’s lots of other interesting statistics which you can check out by following this link.

The studio continued the celebration by releasing the birthday trailer posted above. Unfortunately, Wargaming failed to release a bonus code for their community, which many publishers tend to do. Instead, players were able to play some bonus missions over the weekend.

The guys and girls over at Blizzard Entertainment have released a new update for their free-to-play trading card game Hearthstone. Among many other things, the patch brings new card backs to the online game. The Tyrande card back is a special reward for those players that get their friends to join the TCG. The Legion and Pie card backs are rewards for achieving Rank 20 in the competitive season for September and October respectively.

Naturally, that is not everything that players should expect from the latest game update. It also introduces the Priest Hero called Tyrande Whisperwind to the online game. She is the chosen high priestess of the goddess Elune and leads the night elves together with the Archdruid Malfurion Stormrage. Accordingly, she not only played a major role in WarCraft 3, but also in the MMORPG World of Warcraft. Players can choose her in the free-to-play MOBA Heroes of the Storm. Now, this hero is finally making her way to Hearthstone. Players can receive her in the same way that they can get her card back.

Aside from making some bigger and smaller changes to several cards, such as removing a few from the Arena Mode, the patch adds a Welcome Bundle to the online game. It features 10 Classic card packs and a random Classic Class Legendary from the first generation. Players can purchase it for $4.99. The bundle might be a great way for newbies to build a solid deck of Classic cards, especially considering that they will receive at least one legendary card.
