Tanki Online is one of those action-packed online games which allows players to immediately delve into the action. There are no unnecessary distractions. The latest game update for the browser game is another addition to the fast-paced qualities of the title. The Early Battle Termination is making a comeback. Naturally, the developers have used the time that it has been offline to tweak and improve the feature. Whenever the outcome for a match is definitely clear, and there are no ways for the losing team to turn it around anymore, the funds for battles can be split right away without having to wait till the battle would end.
To make sure that all of this happens in a fair and balanced way, there are a few conditions that have to be matched. As soon as one team has half the amount of players than the winning team, the standard timer will be replaced with a special timer with reduced time on it. The match ends when the new timer runs out. There’s still hope for the losing team, however, as the early termination is cancelled as soon as their team goes back to more than 50% of the winning team’s amount of players. This feature will also be added to Deathmatch battles. Here, it will be triggered as soon as there’s just one player left in battle.
In PRO battles, players can decide whether they want to use the Early Battle Termination or not. It is up to the Tanki Online community whether the new feature will be a permanent addition to the tank game. The developers are kindly asking for some constructive feedback.

It’s been teased for quite some time, and now it is finally here. Star Wars: The Old Republic has just gotten the first of seven new chapters that are part of the Knights of the Fallen Empire expansion. In Anarchy of Paradise, players will delve into the role of the Outlander, a veteran of the Great Galactic War, and decide how far they will go to destroy the Eternal Empire. The decisions that are made will have an impact on the further development of the story. Over the course of their adventures, players will always feel the impending doom brought on by the Emperor Valkorion and his Eternal Empire. The journey will bring them to various distant places across the galaxy, including the Outer Rim, where Count Dooku seeks shelter later in the franchise. Those players that want to delve right into the new plot should create a brand new level 60 character, the aforementioned Outlander who is called the Firebrand.
As was the case with previous expansions in Star Wars: The Old Republic, non-subscribers will have to pay a small amount of money to save the galaxy from doom. Subscribers on the other hand can simply delve into the expansion for free. They will also get a few exclusive weapons and bonus missions.

Goodgame Studios has released the first major update of 2016 to their building game Goodgame Empire. The royal Architect has spent days and nights working on a brand new technique that will allow players to improve their kingdom. It will be easier than ever before to make the medieval empire prettier and more pompous! The result of all the hard work are the so called Build Items. Players can use them to improve already finished buildings. The only condition is that they have already reached level 45. If that is the case, players will get access to the Construction Yard through a special quest. This building has to be built in the Castle, Capital, Metropolis or Outpost. It cannot be erected in the Storm Islands, Blade Coast, Underworld, Thorn King, or Berimondevents.
Later on, the Construction Yard can be upgraded by up to 3 levels which unlock additional slots. In the future, it will allow players to craft their very own build items, but for now, they will have to make do with what is available through contests, prime days, and the Armorer.
Buildings can be improved in two ways. They can either be changed in terms of their outward appearance or in terms of their primary features. This will affect the main stats of that particular buildings. The specific improvements depend on how rare the particular build items are.

Almost exactly one month ago, the Asian fantasy adventure Blade & Soul launched in various regions all over the world. The MMORPG seems to have a steadily growing community as more than two million players have registered for the title according to NCSoft. In order to thank all those players for registering an account, the developers have already released the first major content update for the MMORPG. Rising Waters brings all kinds of new challenges and features to Blade & Soul, including three pieces of big PvE content. Players get to explore Bloodshade Harbor for example, a dangerous dungeon for four to six participants. The Nightshade Harbor is the version for up to 24 players. In both versions, players will go up against the Blackram pirates and Poharan’s boss, the Admiral Hae Mujin.
Another major part of the new update is Mushin’s Tower. This adventure lets players explore seven different floors of this building, each getting increasingly more difficult than the one before. Naturally, this is reflected in the rewards that can be earned which also get increasingly more valuable. The five new Hongmoon levels allow players who have reached level 45 to gain additional skill points and experience. That way they can increase their character’s strength in combat.
Last but not least, the Rising Waters update also brings the PvP preseason to the online game.
The update is live now! Head over to the official game homepage by clicking the green button below to register an account and download the game.

Another short update has hit the mobile game The Simpsons: Tapped Out. It is comparable in length to the very recent Deep Space Homer update. What else but the most romantic holiday of them all would be celebrated at this time of the year? Every viewer of the television show knows that after Halloween and (maybe) Christmas, Valentine’s Day is probably the most popular holiday in the animated series. Similar to past short events, Homer triggers the main series of quests that will reward players with experience points and the event currency. This Valentine’s Day event revolves around the older generation of Simpsons characters. Love and romance is truly timeless after all!
Send your characters on various romantic quests and collect Valentine’s Day hearts. These hearts can unlock up to five different rewards including the Coconut Babaloo, Lovely Flower Cart, a new façade for the Coconut Babaloo, the Starline Commander sports car, and Mona Simpson! Additionally, there are lots of different items that players can purchase with donuts in the in-game shop.
The Tapped Out community should get started quickly however, as the event will only be live until February 16th. Any Valentine’s Day themed prizes will go offline after that!

It never gets boring in the free-to-play war game Armored Warfare. The guys and girls over at Obsidian Entertainment make sure to constantly bring out new content and features to entertain their community. As reported a few weeks ago, the next update will bring some exciting content to the game. Later today, players can look forward to checking out what the patch has to offer. At the center of the update is the new PvP map called Coastal Threat. Some players might be somewhat familiar with the location, as it is not quite brand new. The map was part of the alpha phase of the online game, but had been offline ever since. Now, the developers are bringing it back in a refurbished version. The 1.2 km² big map features the right conditions for all kinds of tanks. The southern and northern parts of Coastal Threat offer wide arcs of fire, while the city features many places to seek cover. Players should be mindful of the bridge in the middle of the map however, as it is the most dangerous place to hang out for any type of tank.
Aside from that, the update brings a new arms dealer from China to the war game. Zhang Feng offers seven different tanks for purchase. Additionally, the developers have revised the reward system. PvE rewards will be equal to their counterparts in the PvP game mode. Last but not least, the studio has worked on match making to make sure that battles are fairly balanced.

The buzz around Star Wars: The Force Awakens has slowly but surely died down and been superseded by a Beyoncé hype on social media. That doesn’t prevent the guys and girls over at Electronic Arts from bringing one of the most iconic characters of the Star Wars universe to their mobile game Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes. While the powerful, green hero had already made an appearance in the action game, players can now finally unlock him and play with him.
As you will know from the franchise, there’s more to Yoda than meets the eye, which is why it is not quite so simple to unlock him. After all, the Jedi master belongs to a long lineage of creatures that have vast knowledge on the Force and won’t just join any team. Players can unlock him in various different ways. They have to participate in the Grand Master’s Training event and finish it in multiple difficulty settings. This will reward them with Grand Master Yoda shards, Crystals, and high amounts of Credits. When players complete the majority of difficulty settings, they will unlock Yoda.
Daring players can also go directly up against him. They will need a team of 7-star Jedis and complete all difficulty settings. This will reward them with a 7-star Yoda.
Aside from that the update also brings various balancing changes and bug fixes. The patch launches today. Players will be able to unlock Yoda for one week each month. Good luck!

We have repeatedly reported on a certain disadvantage between Android and iOS releases in the past. Usually, iOS players get to laugh in the face of Android players, as games get launched exclusively on iTunes or with a big head start before they find their way into the Google Play Store. While this is also true for Alto’s Adventure, the long wait seems to have been worthwhile for Android players. The game has been available on iTunes for almost an entire year, where players have been able to purchase it for $2.99. Everyone without an iPhone or iPad has had to jealously stare at the gorgeous screenshots and pray to the gaming gods that the endless runner would also launch for their devices. Well, that day is about to come, as Alto’s Adventure will launch in the Google Play Store tomorrow, February 11th. Now, it seems like those who laugh last laugh longest, as the indie game will be available for free in Google’s app store.
According to the development studio called Snowman, the decision was influenced by some significant differences in the two platforms. The developers behind the endless runner have found a way to balance the title in a way that allows players to get the same premium experience that they would on iPhones and iPads. Additionally, the decision to release the game for free in the Google Play Store is driven by the fact that piracy is a lot easier on Android than on iOS. Snowman fears that players would download illegal copies instead of the original game if they had to pay for it on Android. There are no plans as of now to change the business model for iOS.
Alto’s Adventure is an endless runner with minimalistic graphics that was developed by the indie development studio called Snowman.

Year after year, the guys and girls over at Ubisoft celebrate the most romantic holiday of the year in their free-to-play real time strategy game Anno Online. It seems like this is not going to change this year, as the studio just announced that their Valentine’s Day event would start tomorrow, February 11th. In comparison to prior events, players should not expect too much new content or new features, however.
Like last year, players can get married in the browser based RTS. After all, Valentine’s Day is all about sharing love and romance. The Anno Online community can delve into three different quest chains which all reward them with various Valentine’s themed prizes. All they need is 150 Vassals to launch the event. The event currency are keys which can be collected by completing quests or fulfilling achievements. Keys will allow players to purchase the gorgeous Mansion, the Rose Garden, or the Winegrower’s Guild. Decorations can also be purchased and include the Cupid Statue and various types of romantic looking cast iron fences.
Just like last year, the community can produce wedding rings in the Provision House (just once) and marry each other to collect a special achievement. Josephine, who was introduced as part of last year’s Valentine’s Day event, also makes a comeback in this year’s update. Her chronicle features four different endings, each with its own achievement.
The first removal of the event will take place on February 18th, the second and final removal on February 25th.

Things are not going well over at Motiga, to our disappointment we have to say! It goes to show just how difficult it can be to release a high quality free online game in such a saturated market. We first learned about the financial struggles of the studio back in December when Motiga announced that the launch date of the MOBA had to be postponed. As if that wasn’t enough, 16 employees had to be laid off during that time. While reviews for the title have been generally favorable, the development has taken longer than expected resulting in higher costs. While we here at browsergamez.com were hoping for some positive news, things seem to be going further downhill over at Motiga.
The positive news late last week that Gigantic did not have an NDA (non-disclosure agreement) anymore was soon followed by another devastating blow to the development. In a very transparent letter to the community, Motiga’s CEO, Chris Chung, revealed that there had been another significant layoff at the studio. His words sound somewhat hopeless at this point. The financial situation would not allow “supporting the entirety of the studio at this time” and they “intend to continue supporting Gigantic game services for as long as are able.” He also announces that the impact will be felt by the community, as the layoffs concern all teams. Does that mean that an end is in sight for one of the more promising new MOBAs?
There seems to be a grain of hope, as Chung reveals that the studio is in talks with a number of potential investors. His goal is to find the necessary resources to rehire the members of the team that had to be laid off in order to keep Gigantic alive and launch it.
