If you haven’t heard that Pokémon GO is available in almost all parts of the world, you must be living under a rock. The mobile game is not only extensively featured on games magazines and on social media, but even major newspapers are reporting on the app. Pikachu and co. are truly everywhere these days! Only a few days after its release in North America, the augmented reality game is getting its first game update, just in time for its European launch.

Version 1.0.1 focuses on fixing a few bugs and other issues that were reported by the community after the release. It was brought to Niantic’s attention that iOS devices erroneously requested full access permission to players’ Google accounts. According to the studio this made no sense, as the app only accessed basic profile information required for playing. The update therefore fixed the Google account scope. There should be no fear of Niantic having access to anyone’s full account information. Additionally, the developers fixed issues revolving crashes and added stability to the Pokémon Trainer Club account log-in process.

In a recent interview with the folks over at gameinformer, John Hanke, the founder of Niantic, reveals what the studio has in store for the future. The team of developers are constantly going to work on improving the game experience. Their approximate goal is to roll out new patches every other week or so. These will either be smaller bug fixes and balancing updates or big content expansions. The idea is to make Pokémon GO remain relevant and exciting even after the initial period of discovery and exploring weakens.

Players of the free-to-play MMORPG ASTA – The War of Tears and Winds can look forward to the release of a brand new game update next week. Developer and publisher Webzen is launching Myth I: Wrath of the Berserkers on July 19th. The patch will bring a lot of content for high level players in particular. A new difficulty mode for the raids of the Mountain of Trials will add a lot more challenging and tougher enemies to both dungeons. It will also guarantee that players can only be revived if at least one healer is part of their group!

The update also brings entirely new content to ASTA – The War of Tears and Winds. A new world boss called Usata is wreaking havoc in the western part of Wado. Players will soon realize that it is not very easy to defeat this massive villain. It doesn’t help that players of the opposing faction are also out to defeat the world boss in order to collect the precious loot. In a worst case scenario, players will have to not only fight against the villainous behemoth, but also against other heroes. The fight will be worth the effort in the end, as the winners will be rewarded with precious loot, including Unique and Artifact-grade armor pieces.

As though that wasn’t enough, the ASTA community can also look forward to new PvP content. A new battleground is coming to the MMORPG. In Dreamworld, two inimical teams will attack a fortified place and try to conquer the Sword of Prophecy. One team will be the attackers and the other will be the defenders.
