You ready to play a game called Ignorant Question Rapid Fire? Ok. What was the last movie Meryl Streep was in and why does she deserve to talk down to me at every award ceremony? How many Lifetime Achievement Awards can one person get before we start to question whether or not she’s a cat? How many decades has Meryl Streep been 60? If Meryl Streep got up there and took a shit on the podium, would the turd make it into the museum? Now, let me be clear, I know Meryl Streep is considered the world’s greatest living actress and I’m an uncivilized assclown for saying this, but if she was dressed in plain clothes, I would not be able to decipher Meryl Streep from a cashier at Michael’s Arts and Crafts store.
Streep garnered much praise (YA DON’T SAY!) after her Golden Globe’s speech that called Donald Trump out for mocking a disabled New York Times reporter in 2015. Streep said:
And this instinct to humiliate, when it’s modeled by someone in the public platform, by someone powerful, it filters down into everybody’s life, because it kinda gives permission for other people to do the same thing. Disrespect invites disrespect, violence incites violence. And when the powerful use their position to bully others we all lose.
President-elect Trump caught wind of Streep’s jabs and, of course, shot back on Twitter.
