My friends! I’m still here, I promise. Something very special finally pursuaded me to get down to business and organize my office and sit down at my desk to make something. FINALLY. It’s been two months since I’ve made a card, and I’m feeling a bit rusty.

My first Christmas card of the year! It’s a nontraditional color scheme for Christmas, but I really wanted to highlight this awesome World Ornament stamp as the centerpiece of the card. I knew I had to have it because it’s a world stamp that doesn’t, for once, focus on the Americas! I love traveling and I love that this stamp shows a world view that is a little different than what we, in this half of the planet, are used to seeing.

I’m so honored to be participating in the Dear Santa event over on A Blog Named Hero this month. This is my first post for them this month; I’ll have another coming up in a couple weeks. Thanks for having me along for the fun, ABNH! Make sure to check out their awesome blog for daily editions of fun and inspiring projects related to the upcoming holiday season.

Here’s a better look at that card. I created a nice tone-on-tone background pattern using Lawn Fawn’s Teeny Tiny Backdrops and Soft Sand Shadow Ink on kraft cardstock, then spelled out my sentiment using Lawn Fawn’s newest alphabet, Milo’s ABCs.

I tied everything together (literally… ha!) with my favorite favorite favorite twine, the Gold Sparkle Lawn Trimmings hemp wrapped around the right side of the card and added as a bow to tie on the ornament. Seriously, I need to buy three back-ups of this twine just in case I ever get a little too twine-happy. Eep!
