Frontline Source Group – temporary staffing and direct hire firm – is looking for a PHP Developer for our Southlake, TX client on a Direct Hire basis.
Job Responsibilities:
Works with clients and Sr. Management and clearly documents functional requirements/use cases for assigned products or relevant client integration or development projects.
Report to the TBD and is responsible for key areas of product management, packaging, development, quality assurance and field launch.
Effectively translates requirements into functional designs including wire-framing, UI/Navigation process, screen layouts, integration flows.
Develops short term and long term development plans for assigned projects or product areas.
Leads relevant Master Schedule review and change sessions with Sr. Product Manager and the development team.
As required executes testing of developed applications or development projects
Executes root cause analysis and continuous improvement actions to eliminate process defects in the overall product development and launch cycles.
Assures with the development teams (internal and client) that all assigned development projects are correctly stratified according to used development methodology and tracked with correct task work breakdown, resource assignments and schedules.
Actively participates in daily scrum meetings with the Development team and assures on schedule completion of tasks and any related client issue resolution
Assists other development staff in investigation/resolution of blocking issues, both as a technical resource and as a client-developer liaison.
Actively Participates in Version content definition, testing and field release of new Versions.
Actively Participates in Release content definition, testing and field release of new Releases.
As required provides documentation and assistance to the sales and support organizations in both Version/Release filed deployments
As required provides product demonstration to assist in field sales efforts.
Provides structured input for new product Versions with effective market justifications.
As required gathers data on competitive offerings, and presents the data to Sr. ITI Management.
Technical Aptitude – Ability to comprehend complex technical topics and specialized information. Should know PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, and other related technologies. Experience with the following is preferred:
SOAP and/or REST web services (including WSDLs and XSDs)
MVC design pattern
SVN
Unix system administration
Accountability – Ability to accept responsibility and account for actions
Analytical Skills – Ability to use thinking and reasoning to solve complex problems.
Requirements:
2 -5 years of Relevant Software Product/Project Software Management Experience
2 -5 years of Relevant Web Development Experience, using PHP, MySQL and JavaScript
BS in Engineering or CS.

Initiative – Ability to rapidly make effective decisions or take actions to solve a problem or reach a goal.
