The Phoenix Suns visit Memphis once again, let’s see if they can keep their emotions in check
The last time the Memphis Grizzlies and Phoenix Suns faced off, the Grizz whooped the Suns pretty bad, 110-91.
The Grizzlies, 35-25 and in 6th place in the West, are clearly the better team.
But young shooting guard Devin Booker wants to make it clear he doesn’t think Troy Daniels is better than him.
With the clock winding down on a near-20 point loss in Memphis, Booker fouled Daniels on a three point attempt and mayhem ensued.
Afterward, Devin Booker had some words about Daniels.
"He's been on five teams in three years and he has the nerve to talk trash to me," Booker said. "He's on a winning team so you have those muscles when you're on a really good team. It is what it is. We will see him again."
Local radio host John Gambadoro shared a bit of the back story, which has since been corroborated.
According to a source Troy Daniels told Devin Booker that he was garbage, that he only scores in garbage time & told him to check his resume

I showed after the game that, while you might think Booker has had plenty of chances to pad his stats in garbage time this year, Daniels needs to check the resume again.
Despite the team being so bad this year, more than half of Booker’s shot attempts are taken with the game score inside a 5-point margin. Not garbage time. He’s taken more threes with the score +/- 5 points than at any other margin.
And if you recall, Booker has beaten both the Knicks and Kings on game-winning shots on the Suns final possession in the past few weeks.
Yeah, Booker gets a lot of playing time while the Suns are down on the scoreboard but he doesn’t pad his stats there.
And Troy Daniels, who has never appeared in more than 47 games in four pro seasons with four different teams, is getting lots of chances to play with a lead for the playoff-positioned Grizz.
I can’t wait to see how tonight’s game unfolds.
The Suns and Grizzlies players don’t like each other very much and don’t back down from each other either.
Let’s go!
