Flatiron Solutions, a global provider of technical information management solutions for knowledge-driven industries including aviation, aerospace, shipping, rail, energy, and defense, announced today the signing of a new collaboration agreement with The Boeing Company (Boeing), one of the largest aviation, defense, and space solution providers in the world, and General Electric Corporation (GE), parent of GE Aviation.
The agreement formalizes the combined team’s entry of the Boeing F/A-18 Super Hornet, powered by the proven GE Aviation F414-GE-400 engine, for meeting the Danish Fighter Replacement Program’s (DFRP) requirements. The DFRP is evaluating entries on behalf of the Danish government to support the replacement of the Royal Danish Air Force’s (RDAF) aging F-16 fleet, which is being phased out of service.
As part of the agreement, Flatirons would provide CORENA Suite software for management of Danish Super Hornet maintenance publications, including aircraft maintenance and engine maintenance manuals. The CORENA Suite powered Flatirons Fleet Solution and Flatirons MRO Solution software included as part of the entry provides full content lifecycle management for mobile maintenance, and technical operations.
Flatirons CEO Geoffrey Godet welcomed the collaborative agreement, stating that “Flatirons is proud to partner with aviation and defense leaders like Boeing and GE to offer this entry to the Royal Danish Air Force. Flatirons has maintained a strong Danish presence for more than 15 years, and is uniquely qualified to provide local, responsive support to the RDAF and our program partners.”
CORENA Suite® is extensively adopted worldwide to make task performers in the field more productive, with customers that include nearly half of the world’s top ten airlines, leading aviation and defense Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), and defense logistics organizations.
