According to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, multiple steel tow work boots are being recalled after Red Wing learned that the boots may not be able to sustain an impact, increasing the risk of injuries to the wearer.
The reports show that these steel toe boots may not come with sufficiently strong steel toe caps, increasing the risk of an injury. About 105,000 pairs of these items have been recalled in the United States. All of the affected boot style numbers can be found in the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission’s official website.
The federal agency hasn’t reported any injuries or other incidents associated with these boots. To prevent any potential incident, however, the company decided to issue the recall promptly. Do not delay in responding to the recall if you were affected. Act quickly and ensure your safety by having the boots replaced for a pair that won’t pose any impact risk.
