Brattle principal Sam Newell will participate in a panel discussion at the Global Energy Management Institute’s (GEMI) upcoming Symposium on Reliability and Security Across the Energy Value Chain. Hosted by the University of Houston’s Bauer College of Business, the event will take place on March 11, 2015 in Houston, TX.

Dr. Newell’s panel will discuss infrastructure and how issues of security and reliability of the energy supply chain are incorporated into the planning and execution of new energy infrastructure. Specifically, panelists will address obstacles to pipeline construction, paying for transmission of intermittent power sources, and power generation capacity adequacy, among other topics.
