“Retribution 2″ is the third free release from UK Hip Hop / RnB group Poetiks. Consisting of rappers Ego Trip & Prospekt and singer Cee-Jay, Poetiks have gained recognition in the UK having several tracks featured as part of BBC Introducing on the British Broadcasting Corporations network of national stations as well as performing live across the UK.
Released via UK digital label Hi-Risk Records, Retribution 2 is the third mixtape /album in less than 12 months of the group coming together after their debut “Retribution” (August 2012) and the Silverhawkz affiliated “Fun’s Over” (Jan 2013).
A mixture of lifes ups & downs (‘Snakes and Ladders’) with a twist of humour thrown in (‘Trouble’) Retribution 2 is packed with material that will appeal to many hip hop listeners. The BBC Introducing featured lead single ‘Wanna be heard’ voices the struggles the group have had trying to get themselves noticed in an oversaturated market however with two quality rappers bonded together by the smooth vocals of Cee-Jay it wont be too long until Poetiks gain the recognition they deserve.
The only feature on the release comes courtesy of Bigfoot an artist signed to UK Rapper Sway’ Dcypha Productions on the track ‘Mic Myers’.
