Manatee County Animal Services will reduce adoption fees for dogs to $15 and fees for cats to $10 as part of a “Labor of Love” Labor Day weekend adoption special beginning today.
All dogs and cats will receive a health certificate, all current vaccinations, be spayed/neutered, and micro-chipped, a $15 license fee is required for all pets adopted by Manatee County residents. The special will continue through Tuesday, Sept. 2.
“Our shelter is extremely full and we need the community’s help through adoptions and rescue partners in finding these wonderful pets loving homes” said Nicki Bentley, shelter supervisor. “Please help up save lives.”
The special is available at Animal Services located in Palmetto, 305 25th St. W. The shelter is open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Preview available animals by visiting www.mymanatee.org/pets
