Ever wanted to turn your baking hobby into a business? The Bread Baker’s Guild of America wants to help you do just that. BBGA is sponsoring “Starting a Micro-Bakery” on March 8 & 9, 2014, in New Orleans. Mid City’s Gracious Bakery will serve as the host site, and the instructor is Solveig Tofte, a Guild member, bakery owner, and former member of the Guild’s 2008 Coupe du Monde de la Boulangerie competition team. Read the detailed flyer here.
The two-day, hands-on class costs $375 for Guild members and $460 for non-members (cost includes a 1-year membership). Both bread and pastry are part of the course content.
