“ ‘Come with us where dreams are born!’ – as Peter Pan says in our first season show,” says Dr. Ray Scott Crawford, dean of Communication and Performing Arts. “With a season membership, you will not miss a single event, and you can save about 50% off the regular ticket prices for most of the shows!” Season memberships, which includes two tickets to each of the four main stage productions, are available for sale now through October 25.

Peter Pan
Broadway’s timeless classic musical whisks you away to a place where dreams are born and no one ever grows up! Peter Pan is one of the most beloved and frequently performed family favorites of all time. This high-flying TONY Award-winning musical has been performed around the world and delighted audiences for 60 years.
Peter and his mischievous fairy sidekick Tinkerbell visit the nursery of the Darling children late one night and with a sprinkle of pixie dust begin a magical journey across the stars that none of them will ever forget. In the adventure of a lifetime the travelers come face to face with a ticking crocodile, a fierce Indian tribe, a band of bungling pirates, and of course the villainous Captain Hook.
Featuring the iconic songs “I’m Flying,” “I’ve Gotta Crow,” “I Won’t Grow Up,” and “Never Never Land,” and a rousting book full of magic, warmth, and adventure, Peter Pan is the perfect show for the child in all of us who dreamed of soaring high and never growing up.
Noises Off
The funniest play ever. Period. Doors slamming, on and offstage intrigue, and a plate of sardines all figure in the plot of this hilarious and classically comic play. Playwright Michael Frayn created Noises Off as a love letter and an inside joke to those of us familiar with the thrilling and unpredictable nature of the stage. A “play within a play,” it is about an ambitious director and his troupe of mediocre actors who dream of the perfect hit comedy. The cast and crew are putting together a silly sex comedy titled, Nothing On – a single-set farce in which lovers frolic, doors slam, clothes are tossed away, and embarrassing hi-jinks ensue.
Act One introduces us to the “play within a play” premise during dress rehearsal. Act Two develops the plot several weeks later backstage during a matinee performance. Act Three completes the adventure a number of weeks later on stage during the delightfully ruined performance.

Three Little Pigs
The classic fairy tale as only Steve Slaughter can tell it. You all know the story: Three sibling pigs dream of peace and safety as they build houses of straw, sticks, and bricks to keep the Big Bad Wolf at bay. They learn several valuable life lessons along the way. The Wolf’s “huffing and puffing” blows down each house until the pigs finally band together to build a strong, stable house of bricks to protect themselves… et cetera, et cetera, et cetera.
That is only where the fun begins in this whacky musical adaptation of the classic fairy tale, Storyteller, Stephen Slaughter, has provided us with his special twist complete with goofy characters, comic situations, colorful antics, and a couple of new characters that will make you laugh until your sides hurt. There is also a special “nod” to such country-music legends as Dolly Parton, Wynonna Judd, and Garth Brooks as well as the songs that made them and others famous.

Parallel Lives
In the opening scene, two Supreme Beings dream of a new world and plan the beginning of it with the relish of two slightly sadistic suburban wives decorating a living room. Once they’ve decided on the color scheme of the races, a little concerned that white people will feel slighted being such a boring color, they create sex and the sexes. Afraid women will have too many advantages, the Beings decide to make childbirth painful and to give men enormous egos as compensation.
From this moment, the audience is whisked through the outrageous universe of Kathy and Mo, where two actresses play men and women struggling through the common rituals of modern life; teenagers on a date, sisters at their grandmother’s funeral, a man and woman together in a country-western bar.
With boundless humor, Parallel Lives reexamines the ongoing quest to find parity and love in a contest handicapped by capricious gods – or in this case, goddesses.

The Christmas Show
The annual Bossier City/ Bossier Parish Community College Christmas show at the Bossier Civic Center will be held December 2 and 3, 2015. This is a wonderful evening of holiday cheer featuring several BPCC performers, including the Cavalier Show Band, the BPCC Choir, the BPCC Cheerleaders, the Ladies in Gold, as well as other BPCC performing groups. The doors open at 6:00 p.m. and the show starts at 7:00 p.m. Admission is free to the community. Canned good donations for the Northwest Louisiana Food Bank are welcome.
One Act Festivals
Also, BPCC Theatre offers two bonus events for the community–the Fall and Spring Festivals of One Act Plays. These student-directed evenings of theatre will be presented at 6:30 pm Tuesday, November 10, and a6 6:30 pm, Tuesday, April 26 at the Performing Arts Theatre. Each Festival presents a selection of individual short plays. Though the play titles are not available at this time for publication, normally the One Act Festival is more appropriate for mature audiences. Admission to the festival is free.
Early-Bird Season Memberships are $45 each and are on sale now through September 1. They are $60 from September 2 through October 25.
