Awards and Stars go hand in hand in today’s time. The Filmfare Awards are equivalent to the Oscars for Bollywood. The award show was founded in the year 1954 by Times group when Indian cinema was in its golden era. The film industry in India was witnessing some of the finest work from all around the world and the filmmakers and actors continuously strived  to compete with those in west. Even after 62 years, it is placed right above all the other awards shows which glorify the the performances of different professionals working in the industry.

In 2017, the indian audience is going to spectate one of the biggest award show ever with all the big stars of B’town. 2016 witnessed some big movies like Airlift, Fan, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, M.S. Dhoni- The Untold Story, Pink, Rock On 2 and many many more. Almost all the big stars have worked in some or the other film and will be seen competing against each other to bag the most coveted awards in their respective categories. In terms of music, Pritam with Tamasha, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil; Amaal Mallik with Azhar, MS Dhoni, and Do Lafzo Ki Kahani; duo of Vishal- Shekhar with Fan, Befikre and Sulltan are going to be the talk of the shows for the best music. This singer is on fire !

Bollywood has already seen over 100 films and critics are still left with one more month to choose Best movie, Best Actor, Best Actress and many other winners. This whimsical saga goes on every year when the awards come approaching and the guesses just take over our mind till we see our favourite with the black trophies. Last year SRK and Kapil Sharma made us giggle throughout the whole ceremony and still we weren’t done with them. Let’s hope we get to see some realistic drama and well-timed jokes by the host of the next year, if not better. The tickets will be out soon on BookMyShow and will get over before you could even get over with “Dormammu I have come to Bargain”.
