I’ve been reading some really great books lately, and wanted to share with you two of my favorite new book boyfriends.
These authors are already personal favorites, so I wasn’t surprised that they introduced me to two men that made swoon and laugh…
Ren Owens from Wicked (A Wicked trilogy) by Jennifer L. Armentrout
Things are about to get Wicked in New Orleans.

There are so many things that I love about Jennifer’s writing style. She writes like she’s friends with her readers. Like she’s just telling her story, her thoughts just flow, and if you get it, you just get it AND love it.
This the first book in a series about fairies. Good fairies against bad fairies, with crazy hot sex scenes and funny banter.
A favorite scene with Ren:
“You’re going to have to get to know me better before you taste my cake.”
Ren opened his mouth then closed it a second before he stopped and stepped right in front of me. I skidded to a stop to avoid slamming into him. The guy behind us cursed and shot us a dirty look as he walked around us. Rem ignored him. “Was that an invitation? Because I’m willing to get to know you any way possible if that means I get to taste your cake.”
“Invitation for….? Oh my God. My words replayed. My face turned crimson. “You are such a pervert!” I smacked his chest hard. “That’s not what I meant.”
“That’s a damn shame then,” he said solemnly.

Ansel Guillaume from Sweet Filthy Boy (Wild Seasons) by Christina Lauren

What can I say that hasn’t already been said about these two authors? I’ve been a fan of their works for years, like 6 years now. I didn’t realize how much I missed their style of writing, until I read this book.
First, they cut to the chase almost immediately. Boy meets girl, and they have a crazy night of amazing sex. You would think that this happening at the beginning of book would ruin it, but not really. Probably because Mia doesn’t remember a lot of it, so we get to feel and see her remember bits and pieces.
Then she does what every woman in the world would want her to do. She follows the hot French man to Paris. Duh.

“I know you.”
“You don’t,” I say, completely steady, if a little on the breathless side. I never stutter in front of friends or family anymore and only rarely in front of strangers I’m comfortable with. But right now my face feels hot, my arms and legs prickly with goose bumps, so I have no idea what to make of my completely stutterless words.
If possible, his smile grows, blush deepening, dimple taking center stage, and he opens the door wider, stepping out toward me. He’s even better looking than he seemed from across the room, and the reality of him immediately fills the doorway. His presence is so huge I step back as if I’ve been pushed. He’s all easy posture, eye contact, and beaming smile as he leans close, and playfully studies me.
Being a performer, I’ve seen magic like his before. He may look like any other human, but he has that elusive quality that would force every pair of eyes to track him onstage, no matter how small his role. It’s more than charisma—it’s magnetism that can’t be taught or practiced. I’m only two feet away from him…I don’t stand a chance.
Well, he is French, so who could stand a chance and he standing in just his underwear? These authors tell the best stories about smart women who want someone just a smart as them. A challenge. A man who surprises them, gets them, even when they don’t know themselves what they want. All I have to say is Viva la France!!
