This morning I checked on two arakawa air layers in progress. To my surprise I saw they had already produced some nice roots at only the 3.5 week mark! I suppose not too bad considering they usually take a minimum of about 6 weeks to see any amount of roots growing, at least in my experience.

Two air layers were made on a young arakawa tree growing in the ground. These layers will be used to make root grafts on my large twin trunk arakawa. I'll probably leave them be for another few weeks...

A little surprise!
