There is no other way to say this but this week’s Trending Tunes has a few surprises. Songs from Badrinath Ki Dulhania are still rocking the music charts, and we are loving it. You know the drill. Turn the volume up, and forget your worries for a while. Here are the best songs from the week.

Tamma Tamma Again (Badrinath Ki Dulhania)

The recreation of the hit Madhuri Dixit and Sanjay Dutt number is rocking the music charts. This one has retained the charm of the original and in fact, what I really liked about this ‘tribute’, as Varun and Alia would like to call it is the fact that they even retained the original voices of Bappi Lahiri and Anuradha Paudwal.

Humsafar (Badrinath Ki Dulhania)

Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan’s chemistry is brilliant in the music video of Humsafar. We see Badrinath pour his heart out while maintaining the dignity about the fact that his ‘Dulhania’ only wants to be friends.

Saarattu Vandiyila (Kaatru Veliyidai)

This song is from Mani Ratnam’s upcoming film – Kaatru Veliyidai. For the first time, he has roped in Aditi Rao Hydari and Karthi for this romantic film. Unlike your usual foot tapping wedding songs this one is slow on the count but that doesn’t make it any less catchy. Its dandiya feel and rich cinematography will have you hooked in no time.

Balam Pichkari (Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani)

Tomorrow is Holi, so we took the liberty to take one song that is not a trending one. But quite a popular holi song. Of course one colourful song had to be in here, and I totally love Pritam’s rendition for Holi. Play this song at any party and guests will start grooving to the beats. Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone’s chemistry and high on energy dance steps make this song worth watching on loop.

Tu Cheez Badi Hai Mast (Mohra)

Ok. We lied. There are two old songs on this list. Well, hear us out and you will be convinced. A remake of Akshay Kumar and Raveena Tandon’s Tu Cheez Hai Mast released this week. From the movie Machine, it featured Mustafa and Kiara Advani grooving to the beats – or whatever there was left of the beats. But the new version so damn horrible that just to get over it we had to listen original one a hundred times. So, was the case with everyone on my social media feeds. The original song was indeed trending.
