A new 157-foot bridge will be constructed just north of the current Lardo Bridge over the North Fork of the Payette River this summer. And when the old bridge is torn down, the new span will be slid into its place.

Big changes are coming to traffic in and around McCall right after Labor Day. This week's McCall Star-News reports that a section of Idaho Highway 55, near the Shore Lodge, will be closed for a month as the 83-year-old Lardo Bridge is torn down and replaced with a new span.…
