….. AND IS THAT WHY MY OWN RESPONSES AND ANY OTHER DISSENTING VIEWS KEEP DISAPPEARING FROM NOTES ON THAT GAMERGATE-NEWS POST?

BECAUSE THEY’RE PRETENDING TO HAVE NO IDEA WHAT ANYONE’S REFERRING TO WHEN IT’S BROUGHT UP. OMG OMG

EVERYONE WHO DISAGREES WITH THE “JOURNALISTIC ETHICS” BRIGADE ON THEIR POST IS GETTING HIDDEN SO IT LOOKS LIKE NOBODY DOES.

SORRY TO USE YOU AS THE GUINEA PIG POONDRAGOON BUT CHECK THIS OUT GUYS:

Most now won’t be able to see poon’s reblog in the notes but you can still verify its existence. I had no idea this was implemented.

The lack of responding notes from @gamergate-news here leads me to suspect you also hid their retorts. GG do Re.

This is all I could see from my phone that I’ve been posting from all day

A) What sense would it be to add a way to delete REBLOGS from everyone else? Not even staff would be THAT retarded.

B) If GG-news could do that, so could you. Your point makes no sense, and this comes from someone that finds blocking a cowardly action.

C) WHY DO YOU CARE SO MUCH?!

He’s going to simply delete everything on his blog on this topic after realizing this logic is unfounded.

Nope, here’s the official staff post explaining and demonstrating this feature:

https://staff.tumblr.com/post/146719726111/another-reason-to-turn-on-replies-starting-today

Starting today, you can delete any unwanted ones from your post
notes. Just tap the note you don’t want to see, select the relevant
option, and away it’ll go. (If it’s not on your own original post,
tapping the note lets you report it to our support team.)

You can also hide inappropriate reblog comments using the same technique.

Just a little tweak to give you more control over your notescape. Enjoy.

You can test the feature yourselves on your own posts, right now:

1) open the notes on any of your posts, find a reblog or response, and “hide post.”

2) ask a friend to check the same post and open the notes on their own dash, even if they’ve already reblogged it. They won’t be able to see the hidden notes.Reblogs you’ve “hidden” will still exist on the reblogger’s account. If I’d hidden anything gg-news said, you would still be able to see it on their blog right now.And yes, this feature is ripe for abuse.
