The IT Business Partner is a member of the Global IT Organization and is responsible for all of the platforms and technologies related to BD’s websites, marketplaces and business-to-business (B2B) integration. This includes BD.com, BDBiosciences.com and our intranet sites BDOne. This position is responsible for technology architecture, infrastructure design and readiness, and management of Production Support, Incident Management, Problem Management, Release Management, and Configuration Management. This person coordinates activities with other segments and regions of BD which share the technologies and platforms and leads continuous improvement in IT capabilities in this area. The position is based in San Jose, CA due to the high degree of business engagement in our Biosciences division headquartered there. This position works very closely with the Biosciences Marketing team co-located in San Jose.
The Center of Excellence team includes 10-15 BD associates that are managed by this position, as well as vendor relationships including another 10-15 resources both onsite and offshore in India. The team is responsible for a constant stream of major projects to manage in collaboration with our business partners.

**Duties and Responsibilities:**
* Direct and manage the BD.com and BDBiosciences.com eBusiness technical program.
* Liaise with stakeholders on an ongoing basis.
* Manage stakeholder communications.
* Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve goals.
* Draft and submit budget proposals, and recommend subsequent budget changes where necessary.
* Where required, negotiate with other department managers for the acquisition of required personnel from within the company.
* Determine and assess need for additional staff and/or consultants and make the appropriate recruitments if necessary.
* Set and continually manage expectations with team members and other stakeholders.
* Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel.
* Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the team.
* Plan and schedule timelines and milestones related to functional initiatives and improvements using appropriate tools.
* Track and report on key performance indicators.
* Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations.
* Ensure the compliance of BD’s websites with all applicable regulations and internal policies for security & privacy
* Determine the frequency and content of status reports from the team, analyze results, and troubleshoot problem areas.
* Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise team members and contractors, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
* Build, develop, and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the program
* Provide insight, experience and thought leadership on the direction of technologies and capabilities vital to the success of the E-Business strategy
**Qualifications:**
* Minimim of a BS Degree in Information Technology or a closely related discipline.
* Minimun of 10 years'' direct work experience in a project management capacity, including all aspects of process development and execution, with 3-5 years direct people management experience.
* Demonstrated experience implementing best-of-breed web platforms such as e-Commerce, Web Content Management, Customer Experience Management and other technologies critical to the success of E-Business strategy
* Demonstrated experience in personnel management, and experience managing and developing managers.
* Demonstrated experience in managing client / business relationships.
* Strong familiarity with project management techniques and software, such as Microsoft Project. PMP desirable.
* Solid working knowledge of current Internet architecture, including application servers, web servers, hosting, and security protocols.
* Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential
* Can conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
* Flexible during times of change.
* 10-20% travel required in order to maintain relationships with team and business partners, primarily in Franklin Lakes, NJ and infrequently to other global BD locations.
