Product Manager, Life Sciences \- Preanalytical Systems \(12 month contract\)

D E S C R I P T I O N

JOB SUMMARY:

The Product Manager is responsible for the product planning and execution throughout the product lifecycle, including: understanding customer requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with sales and strategic account managers to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met\. The Product Manager's job also includes ensuring that the product supports the company's overall strategy and goals\.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

+ Management of the Acquisition platform within the blood collection business, portfolio includes: Wingsets, Needles, Lancets, ABG s and Accessories

+ Market development and execution of new product launches

+ Financial planning/forecasting, demand planning, and RFP/Contract management

+ Actively participate as a member of the global BD Marketing council and in key platform initiatives

+ Ensure Canadian sales team has appropriate tools for selling, including tactical tools as well as key inputs to RFI, RFP processes

+ Work with the global Business to ensure Canadian needs are met and to further the strategic goals of the business in Canada

+ In conjunction with the PAS Management Team, responsible for developing the 3 year Annual Strategic Review process for the platform

+ Act as the main knowledge leader with respects to competitive activities, initiatives, and partnerships to ensure proactive market awareness and action

+ Market Development Planning and Product Launch

+ Ability to interact effectively with all management levels

+ Ability to juggle multiple projects under tight deadlines

+ Entrepreneurial spirit

+ Strong negotiation and communication skills \(both written and verbal\)

+ 15\-20% travel within Canada and the US

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

+ University degree in life sciences or comparable progressive experience in the market for 3 or more years\.

+ 3 years experience in marketing or product management within medical device environment

+ Healthcare/MedTech industry experience

+ MBA or MSc is an asset

+ Sales experience an asset

+ Bilingualism \(English and French\) an asset

+ This position reports to the Marketing Manager, Life SciencesPreanalytical Systems

WORKING CONDITIONS

Working conditions are typical of an office environment, with overtime & travel required as necessary\.
