Regional Business Manager – Hazardous Drug Safety

The Regional Business Manager leads a US-based Regional sales team. This role is accountable for the attainment of sales goals in line with business strategy with the goal of attainment of budget for all territories within the region. This includes management of all sales activities and the implementation of marketing programs as well as recruiting, training and development of Sales Consultants to ensure a successful and high performance sales team. The Regional Business Manager coaches and manages 7-9 sales associates. The Regional Business Manager possesses proven large account management and conceptual selling acumen, demonstrated sales performance in the top 10% vs. peers and has the management and leadership talent to develop a cohesive, competitive, performance-driven Region.

The Regional Business Manager reports to the US Commercial Leader.

The Regional Business Manager has accountability for leading and managing in the following areas:

Performance
People
Process

Works to achieve the Region Sales Budget.

Coaches and manage the Region team to meet their overall territory budgets.

Manages IDNs focusing at the executive level (inclusive of economic and clinical decision makers) to grow partnerships that result in collaborations that meet the customer’s needs and grows BD HDS sales across the product portfolio.

Achieves Region sales plan within limits of operational budget.

Executes Go-To-Market sales plan in the region.

Is a Hazardous Drug Safety expert

Assesses and coaches Sales Consultants performance through field visits and a Regional Talent Management Plan.
Ensures coaching and assessment criteria are in place to improve sales competence of all team members
Supports, drives and implements the Performance Management Process.
Coaches and mentors regional team to continually develop best practices – “keeps raising the bar.”
Actively develops relationships with BD regional colleagues and is a sought after collaborator.
Builds hazardous drug safety thought leader and reference account relationships.

Develops implements and executes an annual “success plan” for each territory.

Develops and manages Regional priorities to maximize growth and return on investment.

Measures and manages regional and territory performance indicators (leading and lagging) acting quickly to course correct if needed.

Acts as a valued partner and collaborator with the HDS Marketing team.

Works collaboratively with HDS Marketing, Clinical, MPS Infusion & Vascular Access teams and Strategic Customer group to drive growth.
