*_JOB DESCRIPTION_*

The Director, FP&A will provide financial, analytical and business support to the Director Operations, Finance; VP, MPS Operations; MPS Operations Leadership Team; and MPS senior leaders.

The individual plays a critical role in providing financial insights that will drive the strategic decisions, financial forecasts and operating plans for their supported platforms. This person and their respective team members will drive financial statement forecasts, operating budgets, strategic/ASR plans. This person will also prepare and present to senior management, as appropriate.

*_RESPONSIBILITIES_*

· Serve as the primary financial business partner to the Infection Prevention, Interventional Specialties, and V. Mueller Operations Leadership teams, advising on the manufacturing network performance. Actively participate in the plan, review, approval, and implementation and evaluation of plant-level strategies and objectives.

· Provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision making issues affecting assigned locations / platforms

· Develop, recommend and direct all short term and long range financial plans consistent with corporate philosophy and strategies.

· Lead and/or assist with the development of sound business plans and accurate and reliable financial forecasts.

· Provide leadership to other executives and managers to insure financial success within their operational scope, including the achievement of cost improvement and productivity initiatives.

· Consults with the business leaders in evaluating the financial impact of strategic business decisions through financial analysis and interpretation.

· Reviews performance and monitors financial parameters for the business.
· Conducts complex financial analyses resulting in creative insights, implications, and recommendations about current and future financial trends and areas for improvement, focus or investment.
· Mentor and develop 1 direct reporting analyst

*_SPECIFIC WORKSTREAMS INCLUDE_*

1. Month End Close: Work closely with the MDA COE team and plant managers to support monthly process including:

o Conducting plant dashboard reviews, savings, capital reviews.

o Reporting on variances to budget and forecast

o Leading projections and reviews

2. Synergy: responsible for analyzing the Synergy work streams for the assigned plants and regions within the MPS network. This will include partnering with leaders from both WW Operations, MDA COE Finance and IMO COE to help ensure BD meets its synergy commitments

o Support the validation, analysis, projection and pipeline management of synergy projects

o Validate, forecast and budget new projects, including savings, capital, and one-time costs (integration and severance spend).

o Work with MDA COE teams to ensure synergy reporting is consistent with and reflected within reported results

o Consolidate synergy reporting and support reviews with leadership team

3. Continuous Improvement: responsible for analyzing the CI work streams for the assigned plants and regions within the MPS network. This will include partnering with leaders from both WW Operations, MDA COE Finance and Corporate CI Effectiveness Leads

o Support the validation, analysis, projection and pipeline management of CI projects

o Support Corporate CI Effectiveness reporting and analysis work streams

o Work with MDA COE teams to ensure CI reporting is consistent with and reflected within reported results

o Consolidate CI reporting and support reviews with leadership team

4. Capital: responsible for supporting MPS capital work stream, including capital planning and analysis

o Participation in annual plant capital budget reviews and projections, as well as long term capital planning

o Support the analysis of capital spending versus budget and prior forecast

o NPV/IRR/Payback analysis of projects to determine prioritization of capital spending; Validate financial savings and test underlying assumptions for soundness

o Support sites development and submission of CAR’s / CB2’s

5. Inventory: assist in the analysis of inventory levels for plants within MPS platforms

o Work collaboratively with other members of MPS Operations Finance to drive overall inventory goals

6. Responsible for the preparation of ad hoc analysis / business support as required

B.S. Degree in Accounting, Finance is required.*__*

*_LICENSES OR CERTIFICATIONS_*

CPA/MBA or working towards preferred*__*

*_EXPERIENCE_*

7 years of relevant experience with exposure to manufacturing.*__*

*_SPECIAL SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE_*

Candidate should have strong financial analysis, interpersonal (ability to work with all levels of management and with international associates), and communication skills along with the ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment. Manufacturing experience or experience with cost accounting is a plus.
