Tennis pro Ryan Sweeting proposed to ‘Big Bang Theory’ star Kaley Cuoco in September, and during an appearance on Ellen Degeneres’ show ‘Ellen’, the couple decided to tie the knot — more or less.
Cuoco explained how she and Sweeting met, and how he didn’t leave after their first date.
“He texted me and was like, ‘OK, I’m coming to L.A.,’ … We go and have a dinner date, and were still on our first date, he never went home,” Cuoco said. “He’s from Florida!”
Then, Degeneres went rogue and surprised Cuoco with a minister, the band The Wanted, and her fiancé:
“We have this ready, should you choose,” Degeneres said. “You could save so much money … I can walk you down the aisle.”
After an emphatic “Hell yeah, I do!” Cuoco and Sweeting high fived — and kissed.
Overall, it was a big win for the institution of marriage.
