The week before the Grands is usually pretty primo when it comes to team news. Lots of teams putting out a taste of who will be showing up in a new uniform un Tulsa–whether at the beginning of the weekend, or just as the trailers are getting loaded up, to show the new colors off to media types like us.
Brian Fell over at MCS got the party started with a first-look release today telling tale of Justin Riddell making the move from one red jersey to another. Justin has been on the regional Redline M1 team, and will be trading up to a factory MCS kit in Tulsa.
The release, which is first on BMX News said:
MCS Bicycles is pleased to announce the addition of Justin Riddell to the program! Justin is 20 years old and hails from Cape Coral, Florida.
We are very excited to have Justin joining the team! He is a good kid with a lot of talent. Justin will be racing in the A Pro class at USA BMX Nationals (including the 2013 USA BMX Grand National next week in Tulsa), and the Men’s Pro class in the SSA Florida Cup and State Series events.
Justin will be aboard the MCS HT20XL frame in 2014. When asked about the bike, he said “The bike feels really good and stiff I have only ridden it on the track a couple of times, but it was really easy to get used too! The MCS Torque bars felt really good too!
With new complete bikes and products being added to the line-up, 2014 will be a break-out year for MCS Bicycles. We will also have a solid track presence in the new year. You can be a part of it, look for products from MCS Bicycles at better bike shops and mail order houses world wide!
Brian also gave us a peek at the 2014 MCS Factory Team roster: Chase Hines, Raul Gomez, Petey Peters, Tyler Wagner, Tucker Rice and, of course, Justin. BF says there may be another addition, and will give News the 411 as soon as it is available.
