Donald Glover a.k.a. Childish Gambino has everything set up the way he wants. He cannot be labeled as a rapper, can’t label him as a writer, and cannot angle him at just acting. Instead, the triple threat being manages a variety of different task without compromising his artistry. A few months ago, it was announced that Gambino’s show Atlanta will be piloted through the FX network. Well now we’re edging closer as the show will be doing spring shoots for the pilot soon.

“It will explore the rap scene in the city of Atlanta through the perspective of two cousins – one, a sudden rap star, the other a college dropout struggling with the unique challenge of being young, gifted and black,”  – CEO John Landgraf of FX

John Landgraf  also had this to say about Gambino as well.

“Donald Glover is a uniquely talented actor and performer who brings real-life experience to this subject matter,” said FX Networks and FX Productions president of original programming Nick Grad. “Not only is Donald a very gifted actor, he has achieved tremendous success and acclaim as the musical artist Childish Gambino. He, along with Paul Simms, has a very honest, sometimes serious, and funny perspective on life, the world of rap music and the city of Atlanta.”

Between co-directing his own videos, making music, writing for shows, Glover seems to be right at home as he discovers new and better platforms.
