Kentucky’s Josh Clark

The upcoming season of The Ultimate Fighter will feature some of the area’s top talent in the middleweight and light heavyweight divisions. UFC officials released the roster today and several fighter’s from the Ohio Valley region will compete for their shot at reality television gold and a UFC contract.

Kentucky’s Josh Clark (7-2) will make his way to Las Vegas. Clark is a Bellator and XFC veteran who has also spent some time in the pro boxing arena. Clark was last in action locally at Bluegrass Brawl 2 back in 2012 where he defeated Bobby Carter.

Tyler Minton (5-1) has only had one fight since May of 2012 and that was a win at 3FC 20. Minton has battled through injuries but has long been seen as a top prospect from Tennessee. Minton has a strong following for his personal training expertise and is one of the smartest guys we know.

Josh Stansbury (5-2) started slow in his professional career but five straight victories have had him looking like a solid prospect. The NAAFS champ defeated John Hawk back in August and has a win over fellow contestant Dan Spohn.

Dan Spohn (8-3) is a tough guy from Ohio who after losing to Stansbury has rebounded with back to back wins.  In a close fight, Spohn dropped a split decision to former Bellator light heavyweight champion Atiila Vegh. He has a wealth of experience and can be exciting to watch.

Doug Sparks (5-1) was on a five fight streak before he lost to local powerhouse Shaun Asher at Turf Wars 8. Sparks has great wrestling and is a beast. All of his wins have come by way of stoppage.

Hector Urbina (16-8-1) has quit a history with NAAFS with big wins over Nick Duell and Travis Clark. He has the most experience of the local fighters on the card and has a resume dating back to 2006.
